Yeah, I'm actually wondering on how they're going to have Captain Cold outsmart Barry the next time.

I know he's bringing in help with Heatwave, but still..unless one of them (or both) are causing massive destruction and putting civilians in harms way on purpose, Barry should be able to easily defeat them by snatching their weapons.

Yeah. Hopefully they'll figure out a way to make that work.

With Wells being pissed about the missing guns, would that mean that Captain COld and heatwave didn't originally exist in the timeline, and his interference has created them? Probably not but it would be cool if they went that route, and had Wells trying to "unmake" them for his own purposes.

Wow, this episode hit all the right notes. Action, comedy, drama, VFX. Good chemistry between everyone it seemed. Captain Cold was perfect. Best scene when Cisco called him Captain Cold and Snart just looked up and smiled, perfection.

Everything good about that train scene has already been said so I'll just have to say my other favorite scene was Thawne and West doing the stakeout and Thawne turning on the radio XD. That was golden.

Heck, I even liked the cheesy guy that explained the Freeze Gun to Snart and the somewhat cheesy villainous tune that played in Snarts lair. It was perfect for this show.

If this show can keep this up it's set for greatness.

Also THIS is how you do ice puns.

10/10

This is the episode I was going to be VERY critical of because Captain Cold is one of my favorite DC villains, and....they got him right. Well done gents.

Loved Miller as Cold. Only issue I had with the whole thing is, Barry is so fast he should have just been able to grab him sooner or later. The writers need to realize that Barry isn't a character who should stand there and wait for the villain to deliver his epic speech. Still, Wentworth was great and the Barry/Felicity stuff was adorkable. Good Lord, Felicity is hot. I think she somehow gets hotter every time she appears on a show.

The two actors shared a lot of chemistry.

I was glad when Barry kissed her at the end. I was worried there for a while that he'd wimp out.

He was so laid back and lethal. Cold, you know.

At the same time, I am now at the begging point. Producers, for the love of God, find something else for the melodrama besides guilt. It's roasted. It's done! Stop the "It's my fault he/she died" stuff. Come up with SOMETHING else! Please!

^ I get the sense this is going to be a running theme for Barry. He'll never quite accept that people are going to die on his watch.

It's annoying at times, but it lends to his personality.

And think how disturbed he'll be when he finds out Dr. Wells is a total psychopath.

Because that kind of stuff NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER happens in the comics. :o

Really good episode. Felicity fit right in. I thought they did a good job of explaining why Snart was a match for Barry (at least this time around), but I don't understand why everyone just let him walk away at the end of the episode. They could've at least tried to knock him out or something. Still, he's by far the best villain we've gotten so far, and I can't wait to see more of him.

With what? A vacuum cleaner? Barry's the muscle.

Their fists? Equipment they could have brought from the lab? Three of them managed to sneak up on him while he was distracted and talk to him instead of hitting him upside the head or knowing the gun out of his hands. They made no attempt to actually stop him or retrieve that very dangerous gun, and it was awkward to watch. A head scratcher in an otherwise great episode.

I've been watching this show and so far, villains of the week have seemed like window dressing. I really liked Captain Cold. A focused criminal who had to up his game. I dig it.

This.

I also liked the opening scene,

"Waiting on you Dr Wells"

As Wells holds the Pawn in his hand, then Checkmates shortly after.

I can't understand why i enjoy this but can't stand Arrow (only started s03 though, maybe i should start with the action heavy s02)

I love the whole opening with Barry "multitasking" and then the truck heist.:awesome::awesome:

You're not alone buddy. I'm loving this, but still can't get into Arrow.

Too bad Iris doesn't have the same kind of chemistry with Barry that Felicity has. If Felicity wasn't tied up with Arrow/Oliver, then I'd advocate for her to join this show. I'd even replace Snow for Felicity.

Though I'm confused about one thing...did Barry and Felicity just call it quits in the end with the kiss? Or was that to imply something else? I mean they both state out the obvious that they're perfect for each other and yet they still leave it at that?

I'd imagine it was just to give the crossover ep some extra umph. They announced the actress how will be playing Flash's love interest this week.

I think the actress who plays Felicity is the hottest girl in any of these DC and Marvel shows, followed closely by Skye but her character is kinda crap, especially when Felicity trumps her in the hacking AND wisecracking game.

I think that the point was that they are conceptually perfect for each other, yet neither of them really feels it.

I had high expectations for this episode, and it delivered.
My favourite parts: Cisco revealing that the machine was actually a vacuum cleaner (haven't laughed that hard in a long time) and the train rescue sequence in the climax, it was cinematic quality. The Flash continues to be a brilliant show.

Haven't they made The Flash vs. The Rogues work for years in the comics even prior to their change to metahumans?
I wouldn't worry too much unless the show writers flat out ignore how it worked in the comics.

Wentworth Miller was great! Can't wait until they get Dominic Purcell in later! Was a fan of Prisonbreak back in the day and seeing them back is great.

Up until last week I would have agreed with you. But I'm afraid that the goddess known as Adrianne Palicki has stolen my heart.
