LOVED it!

Easily the best episode so far. I don't think there was anything that I didn't enjoy or that I could possibly improve on. Oh, I still want to know where Barry lives! Some other users had indicated that the "loft" space where he was struck by lightning was his apartment and not his lab, but in tonight's episode he clearly walked into his lab with Iris (where they met Felicity) and Barry confirmed that it was where he had his super-power granting accident.

I especially liked that Captain Cold was cold and calculating (pun intended), that he was successful in his criminal endeavours and that he escaped to live another day. Oh and the fact that he wasn't a meta-human made it all the more enjoyable! I even enjoyed the revelation that Cisco initially considered Barry to be a possible threat and devised a way to stop him. That was really awesome.

I even liked the minimal amount of attention that Iris and Detective Pretty Boy got in this episode. They were much better when Barry wasn't being forced into assuming the role of the third wheel.

I'm not really one for "shipping" in any TV series I watch, but Barry and Felicity share chemistry and charisma which their designated love interests (Iris and Oliver respectively) just can't match. I'd be really happy to see them enter into a relationship with infrequent forays into each other's shows (while most of the "romance" is played off-screen).

It's going to be a painful wait until the next episode!

That train sequence oh my lord, that was Phenomenal how many times have we seen scenes like that in the comics but to actually see it in live action fantastic. The episodes keep getting better and better.

Do you have a theory or is it more a criticism on the show's editing?

I think that the point was that they are conceptually perfect for each other, yet neither of them really feels it.

True, which is realistic. Alot of times two people who you think would be compatible for each other sometimes just aren't . But the actors do have a great chemistry and its nice to see them together more than it is to see her with broody ,womanizing Oliver.

The fact that Barry and Felicity kissed belies the idea that "they're perfect for each other but aren't feeling attraction"; at this point, neither of them really knows what they want, which was the entire point of that scene.

I don't see them ending up in a long-distance relationship, but mutual attraction still looms large over their relationship dynamic and more than likely will for a while.

It was nice seeing Wentworth back on TV again. I loved him in Prison break and he wa a great Captain Cold.

I really liked this episode probably the favorite one so far. Can't wait to see more of Captain Cold.

This was awesome.

Snart was so entertaining. Rory sounds just like I imagined.

Angry Wells was legit terrifying, and continues to be an intriguing character.

All the regular relationship stuff was nice too. This show lets people act like human beings more than in Arrow, and it allows scenes to breathe a little more. That scene with Eddie and Joe in the car, or Barry and Felicity on the train are the kind of scenes you'd never see on Arrow. I also this also speaks to the varied locations, which make the world feel a bit more real.

Action scenes were amazing, even if the cgi isn't always perfect. I'm always surprised when the show breaks into full-on set-piece mode. I just never expect that from a show like this; they really could get away with less.

Even if this show isn't going to win an emmy any time soon, nor is it something I see myself re-watching in the future, I think it's pretty hard not to find it entertaining, especially as a Flash fan.

One issue I had though and it might be because I watched it on my computer this morning and not on my TV, but did some of the scenes, especially the fight in the museum, seem like the CGI was unfinished or just well below industry standards?

Wells takes his glasses off to indicate when he's been sneaky / the bad guy. That's a nice nod to superman/clark kent with a 'reverse' twist

I wonder how long it will be before Captain Boomerang jumps over from Arrow.

They already mentioned he is crossing over to Flash after his Arrow appearance.

Their fists? Equipment they could have brought from the lab? Three of them managed to sneak up on him while he was distracted and talk to him instead of hitting him upside the head or knowing the gun out of his hands. They made no attempt to actually stop him or retrieve that very dangerous gun, and it was awkward to watch. A head scratcher in an otherwise great episode.

Yeah, that really didn't make any sense. Barry broke free from the ice a few seconds later, so he could have quickly found him, ran up behind him and knocked the gun out of his hand. Unless Cold has some sort of teleportation device we don't know about, that was really dumb.

It was a heavier shot than the first which slowed him down (and prompted the cast explaining Absolute Zero = No Movement) so I'll allow it.

The only problem I have with this episode is how Team Flash showed up so quickly to the train crash scene. Other than that, great episode! I'm glad Felicity felt useful in this episode and didn't feel like she was just there to bridge Arrow and The Flash together.

Captain Cold was great, and I can't wait to see him and Heat Wave working together to fight the Flash. They should do well together considering the were able to break out of prison together a few times. :P

Not that I'm glad that Barry wasn't able to save someone, I'm glad it didn't take to long for this kind of thing to happen. And I'm glad that we saw Team Flash had their first trust issue with Cisco's mistake. The show runners aren't wasting any time, and I thank them for that.

The train rescue scene was phenomenal. I was trying to figure how they would go about that and was not disappointed.

There's usually something about Miller that puts me off; like a 'I know a secret no one else does, so I'm going to stand here with this overtly smug look on my face and ain't nothin' you gonna do about it'. Grr. I really liked him a Snart though. The detached (or icy ) demeanor fit. I screamed "PARKA!!" when he had his wardrobe upgrade. Pretty pleased with myself on that one.

Good stuff from the supporting cast last night too (though I don't care about the Iris/Thawne/Joe drama... at all). I thought the Cisco/Barry reactions might play a bit rough, but they worked even with Cisco pulling that save directly out of his posterior at the end. Simply clobbering Cold didn't really come to mind at the end (I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the guy), but it played well and we got that close tease.

So we got Kahndaq, the Blackhawks, Dexter Myles, a Superman/safest way to travel nod and Heat Wave. Not bad on the fanboy front last night.

I said this in the General Discussion thread, but I'm pretty sure that "Black Hawk Squad Security" reference was a callback of sorts to Arrow's "Trust but Verify" episode.

The company had a slightly different name in "Trust but Verify", but it's not out of the question for it to have been put under new management and rebranded in an effort to get away from or lessen the stigma of what happened in that episode.

I don't like that story, but Flash moments, he does his thing like a champ.

Oh yeah, Dexter Myles, another nod in this show to the Flash Museum.

Cisko went to Batman's school of preparing for the worse.

There's a simple explanation, at least for me. In my opinion all four episodes of Flash are better than every episode of Arrow, and I've seen them all.

But that doesn't mean Arrow is bad. It took a long while for Arrow to grow on me; it's an acquired taste. The acting/writing/dialogue are all a noticeable step down from Flash, but it can still be a rewarding show if you stick to it. Season two is definitely the best (so far), but the second half of season one is decent and the subsequent episodes of season three are improving.

I know exactly what you mean.
I can't stand arrow and was expecting this show to be about the same.
The fact that they were connected and GA was even in that one flash advert wasn't really helping.
Went into it with incredibly low expectations and ended up loving it.

I liked it SO much that I thought 'Hey,maybe I'll give arrow another shot"
Caught the next new episode and......nope.

I dont have the time for something I dislike. I hated Smallville and I hate myself for liking Gotham and Flash but don't tell anyone!!

Don't get me wrong, I like The Flash, I think it's an enjoyable show so far, but I really disagree in regards to Arrow. I think it's a lot better than The Flash, there is a lot less awkward and contrived dialogue, and the plots feel a lot less trope-heavy. I like Cisco and Kaitlyn but they have some really awkward line readings too often for my liking whereas Diggle and Felicity just feel more natural. Laurel and Tommy's relationship was pretty much the same thing as Iris and Eddie, and Iris is certainly less annoying than Laurel but Tommy was way more interesting and fun than Eddie.

Anyway, I liked this episode. Still don't like Wentworth Miller and thought he felt really hammy but I still enjoyed the episode regardless.
