The Gifted The Gifted General Discussion

So what's going on is Fox is selling it self off to Disney. They keep their broadcasting stations and a few other things but selling off almost everything else. If this deal goes through it means Disney will own Fantastic Four, X-Men and Deadpool. It also means in a few years we will see them merge these brands in to the MCU.

The TV shows would continue, as they don't really mean anything to the movies. Just look at how Marvel Studios ignore the ABC/Hulu/Freeform/Netflix shows. These shows are extra profit for their respective networks.

I'm not sure a three week gap in episodes is a good thing for this show. :(

Well do you think they would air them during the holidays? Most shows are taking a break for a few weeks starting this month.

I don't get why they have to. Most people I know are like me and would gladly watch them anyways. A big break can lose you momentum.

Well, they are airing a new episode in New Year's day which is the weirdest scheduling ever. Lol why Fox?

Two hour The Gifted season finale unveiled.

So they are airing an new episode in New Year's Day then wait two weeks for the finale. Geez

That's what I mean. It's not a good way to keep momentum going. :(

Hardly uncommon for shows to have random gaps nowadays. But nice to see the doom and gloom already being passed around.

Me, too. Nevermind the stupid interruptions, there is a lot better tv out there. :(

This show is average at best. A X-Men related show shouldn't just be average.

Yup. Farewell indeed to The Very Average Gifted, we barely knew ye.

“The Gifted” has been renewed for a second season at Fox, the network announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

The series is set in the Marvel “X-Men” universe and follows a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their teenage children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. A two-hour first season finale is set to air on Jan. 15 on Fox.

Very good news. I missed a few episodes but plan to watch them thanks to Hulu.

So they are airing an new episode in New Year's Day then wait two weeks for the finale. Geez

I guess it is because of the national championship game on Monday. Still, they should have waited to do the last three hours after that instead of this weird schedule. At least, there will be a season 2.

Hopefully there won't be more made up for TV characters for the neXt season.
