TWS tie in was very good. But the X-Men with its status quo changes from movie to movie doesn't make it the most compatible thing for TV tie-ins, so it's good that they're just moving the opposite way and letting creatives carve out little niches in corners and here and there with the various spinoffs.

I agree completely. I just don't think the tie-ins are necessarily to the detriment of the show. I just wish they actually coordinated.

I mean, it's the same universe. Just in a parallel timeline. Unless they explicitly mention film events, they probably just use it as a catch-all umbrella term.

Best way of looking at it is that its loosely in the X-Men film universe.

They have said its in the same universe several times so i see no reason why it wouldn't be now.

Yes they use the different universe metaphor that jackman also used for Logan but thats just their way of saying the show is its own thing and probably won't affect the movies.

In terms of timeline talk all i could find was this

" because obviously we just had Logan which was a lot further forward and obviously Legion which is a lot further back. So we definitely slot into a timeline, but as of yet, we’re not allied. I think they have given themselves a lot of leeway in order to be able to go places, but we’ve enough story within our universe to propel us forward without having to do that."

The cast is across-the-board solid, no easy feat with an ensemble this size and with uniformly telegenic resistance members that could have easily come off as interchangeable, yet emerge as distinct and relatable.

That's a first for a live action X Men property.

it's possable,especilly if somewhere down the road they want to bring characters and actors from films,that this alternate timeline that spun from some divergence like in both comics and film version of dofp.

bottom line this won't be eather original timeline or present timeline of films.
