Intro Hal Jordan in Arrow flashbacks, then intro present day Hal on The Flash.

I like this idea... ANOTHER!

With all the Ferris Air easter eggs in Arrow, I really hope we get to see Hal...

I'm thinking if The Flash is well received, we'll probably get a Hal intro on that show, with him possibly becoming GL next season

I really don't think they have the budget to do Green Lantern on TV.

I think it really depends how they do him. If they try and do him like in the movie then nope, there's no way. Hell, I don't think they had the budget to do him in the movie how they tried to, what with that "all organic" CGI costume. They need to just give him a uniform this time and work around that. I don't know why they just didn't do that in the first place, the all CGI suit, especially the mask, was stupid. But I do have to give them credit for at least not doing armor I suppose hahaha...

Hal doesn't even have to appear in full costume at first. They could tease the suit. Maybe he keeps his bomber jacket/civvies on and he only makes low key structures at first.

I can see that working. Maybe he wants to keep a low profile as GL for a little while, then when he's ready to come out into the world, they reveal his full suit.

I don't think a costume would be the problem for GL even on tv. Huge constructs,large scale alien environments, and aliens that don't look human. Are the biggest hurdles I could imagine for GL on tv right now. Fast paced space battles are far easier to do these days then they've ever been.

Green Lantern guest starring on The Flash or Arrow wouldn't be much of a problem in that regard. But his own tv series could be difficult to pull off on tv, not impossible though..

Well Green Lantern isn't a vigilante like Green Arrow and the Flash, he doesn't need to be in costume at all, there aren't any threats where he'd need to suit up.

Exactly. The costume was the farthest thing from my mind when I said that. Not to mention just pulling off the ring's powers without making it look cheesy will be difficult in itself. Just don't see how they could do Green Lantern justice on TV. Would be awesome if they could though and we have TV shows for GL, Flash, and GA all on the CW. Seems like a pipe dream as far as GL is concerned though. The most we could hope for is Hal Jordan becoming a recurring cast member between the shows without his powers, I think.

Dc is planning a green lantern and flash team up movie and theres a rumor going around that it is a tv movie from the cw. A lantern is gonna have to show up soon. Unless hes already on a show (*whispers* John diggle)

I would like to see Hal Jordan on the series, but as a pre-GL Hal, who is just friends with Barry.

The issue I see is if DC ever decides to connect the TV Universe to the Movie Universe, that pretty much locks in the actor for Hal as being GL. And I don't see DC being willing to gamble on that. At least not yet.

If DC comes out and clearly says "TV and Movie will never be connected, period." then I think Hal Jordan, and maybe even GL, would be a possibility.

Scott porter would make a great hal jordan and if they ever did decide to combine universes then he would transfer to film well

Yeah, Ackles would be perfect for Hal, the only problem is Supernatural, which isn't showing too many signs of slowing down.

It's both. SPN could still have several years in it, and I don't like the idea of Hal being that much older than Barry. Ackles is older than Amell. Ideally, Hal would fall somewhere between Amell and Gustin's ages.

Ackles' and Gustin's age difference doesn't bother me at all. Ackles is only 2 years older than Amell, that's fine with me. Hal can be the oldest.

Let him establish himself, get some experience, finetune and master the offensive/defensive capabilities of his speed, all of that, then introduce other heroes for team ups and such.

I guess I'd rather just wait till this series can stand on its own first, idk, maybe that's just me. I'm not saying I don't want GL, just don't see the rush is all.

I just started watching Farscape, and it's awesome! a GL tv series could TOTALLY work if it had Farscape's budget.

Back then Ben Browder would have made a great tv Hal Jordan. Even looked like a young Paul Newman(Hal's template) and had that cocky overconfident maverick pilot shtick down . Although not so much now, I just saw a picture of him

Back then Crichton =Jordan they were pretty much the same character. To that add D'Argo could have been = Kilowog, Aeryn = Katma, Crais/Scorpius = Sinestro, Chiana = Arisia, etc... Moya = Mogo
Effects for Pilot & Rygel could have easily been transitioned to the likes of Salaak or Ch'p even more now with CG.'

i am convinced that a GL tv series would work today. Farscape was ten years ago. If they gave GL: TV that budget, ten years later, i think the show would actually look really good, and the effects wouldn't really be an issue.

Absolutely right!

I actually think GL on tv would be the best place to tell GL stories..there is so much material.
Everything would have to be toned down, and the GL's power level would have to be reduced. But i would actually be okay with that. A GL tv show would be less of a superhero show, and the GL's would be more like cops/soldiers/space explorers.
Hal, Sinestro, Kilowog, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Guardians, all the different colored lanterns, Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire, Atrocitus, Manhunters, Mongul, Despero... they could tackle all of that in a way they wouldn't be able to with just a 2 hr movie

It's tailor made for an ongoing sc-fi the show.
