The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Hans Zimmer Score thread - Part 2

The first amazing spider-man soundtrack is my second favourite movie soundtrack! My favourite one is "We can't see you anymore"

Thanks so much again for doing that, much appreciated!

I love Promises/End Titles, that's my second favourite cue from any film. First has to be Still Crazy from this one, I cannot stop listening to it... The guitar from 0:32+ is so damn cool :D

Again no worries, happy to assist!

I wasn't a big fan of Hans Zimmer's score in this movie. I could appreciate and see what he was trying to do, but it just wasn't impacting for me. It just didn't seem "him" if that makes any sense at all.

He said in an interview that it was different writing music for Spidey than it was for MoS or TDK but I'm glad that it wasn't exactly what you'd expect from him like from what we've heard recently from MoS/TDK/Inception.
It could also be down to the fact that he was collaborating with other musicians too for the score.

It's different but IMO it's got that modern, exciting edge that he's famous for.

The score captured the fun, excitment, emotion and youthfullness of Spider-Man.

You're a great pianist, I checked out your "I'm Spider-Man" cover before on YT but didn't know it was you on the boards; great job on that!
Your audio quality and video quality are superb too. :woot:

Thanks dude.

Hah, you didn't know? Must be quite the coincidence for ya, then. :)

Love all the people in the comments of the last one asking you for the sheets and stuff, it's hillarious

It's brutal.

I keep telling them over and over and over and over, I even put it in the description.

And then there's like these 12 year olds... ****'s cray.

Agreed. It would've turned me off of this score if Zimmer took TDK/MOS approach with it. Even though he's done it before I applaud Zimmer for collaborating with other musicians on this one. Brought something that was lacking in his previous superhero scores, imo.

I agree with all of you that it was good that he branched away from TDK/MOS vibe, but I just didn't feel Zimmer in it at all. And it wasn't as memorable or fitting in my opinion. But like I said, I appreciated what he was trying to do

I gotta ask... Am I the only one who found this soundtrack like... Kinda gloomy? Almost a little depressing?

i don't know why everyone was picking on horner. i mean he captured spiderman's stealth, scary moments, and even some psychological ones. it's the kind of score i always imagine for spidermanm when he's in danger or is dealing with his everyday life style and i mostly hear his score in the ultimate spiderman comics since it capture's peter's whole teenager life and the enviroment around it.

i hope we get a score with someone like bryan taylor or henry jackman with no music ruining moments like what happened when peter was finding out clues about his parents and oscorp in the second film

You should do "The rest of my life" or maybe "let her go" or maybe even "We can't be together anymore"/ "We're best friends"

Also that kratin shastri really wants you to do a cover for him

"We're best friends" :hrt::hrt:

Hey BRAB I hope I don't want sound rude but it's "I Can't See you Anymore"

All good! I should have known! I only listened to it 100's of times over the past 2 years.

:funny:

Everyday I heard "We're best friends" and "Rooftop Kiss" but I can't understand the track name,it should have been "I choose you" or "You're my path" it's just...weird..friends..

Beautiful :csad:

Thanks Andrew.

Why the long face though?

I might do a cover of 'Let Her Go'. It sounds easy enough. :)

I've been playing 'I Can't See You Anymore' since ASM came out, so I might make a cover of that one too, some day.

Also that kratin shastri really wants you to do a cover for him

Oh God.

Apparently, he's 12. So that kind of explains a few things.

After listening to this a billion times, IMO the top two tracks are "There he is!" and "I need to know."

Especially the last 3 minutes, for such a underwhelming and emotionless scene (imo), this song really hits you in the feels, lol.

Special Projects growed on me,I heard every time the final part before doing my exams.
