I never want to be a negative ninny, but most actors praise the script of the movie they star in each time. And most fans read what I just said and reply in a "Yeah, but this time he/she sounds genuine". But it doesn't always turn out to be true, so small basket and all that.

Well, we know that actors lie all the time, plus she may be truthful but that's just her opinion. Again, I have high hopes for TASM2, so don't mistake my last 2 comments as anything other than standard words of caution.

This bothers me a bit. Why did they decide to bring in Zimmer? Is it because they felt his musical style would be the best thing for the movie or because it would be the best thing for their back pockets?

Honestly Hans Zimmer does great scores but i havn´t heard anything he has done that fits Spidey, if someone does know a song please share it

I'm not saying Cha-Ching in the money sense. I'm saying it in the sense that we cashed in on a great deal by getting Zimmer.

I highly doubt this was a studio influenced decision. I can't think of an example of a studio overstepping a director's wishes when it comes to hiring a composer, especially for this type of big genre movie where score is hugely important on the overall feel of a movie. Not to mention I doubt Zimmer would've taken the job if he felt Webb didn't want him on board.

Also, James Horner scored Titanic, so...yeah.

Pirates maybe?? I dunno. I do know however that his avant garde style def does not fit Spidey imo.

I'm not completely dismissing the fact that this score by Zimmer will be a good thing...I don't make judgements until I've actually seen/heard a film or a score or whatever. I'm just not a fan of Zimmer and based on most of his recent works I don't see how it will fit Spider-man.

That being said, Webb has made solid decisions all around with the cast and other choices so I do have faith in him at this point. I liked the idea of Horner and Zimmer doing a pure collaborative effort...they could churn out some pretty neat ideas together.
