The Hunger Games - Part 2

I love Fassbender as much as the next guy, but I feel like he just looks too old for Finnick, although Finnick does need to be noticeably older than Katniss.

^ I dont think they should cast someone who is actually 24 because J.Law is 21 (playing 16) and there wont be much if any difference between the way they look(age wise). They should go with someone in their late 20s early 30s.

finnick is 24 and is said to be tall and a body of a swimmer and pretty much a pretty boy

i still like hammer he is 25 but is very mature looking

That move was in the book where she is trying to impress the game makers in her private session. She moved alot more in the book and doing a roll into a shot at the target like in that clip but it was cut most likely.

Saw the movie last night. Was really terrific, but the damn shaky cam really hampered the film in certain areas.

Overall I'd give it an 8 out of 10. Would be a 9 if it wasn't for the shaky cam.

This is one reason I think Kitsch, at 30 years old now, but can pass for younger, would be good. But yes, if Michael Fassbender is in any movie, I will not complain.

The shakey cam did take alot to get used too, hopefully for the sequel they tone it down a tad. I mean I dont need a shakey cam if someone is walking up to a stage and just standing still talking.

Yea. During the killing scenes I understood it since they needed to strive for a PG-13 rating, but during just normal scenes it was way overused. The first 10 minutes were incredibly dizzying.

And...

The final fight on top of the Cornucopia was the worst. I had NO idea who was who there.

I don't want Taylor Kitsch anywhere near the next film or the films after that.

BTW:

My sister who so didn't want to see the movie saw it this past weekend and really liked it. Hell, she liked it more than I did. And then we talked about how awesome J-Law is.

I don't want Kitsch in any movie any time.:barf:

hes on his way of going 2-2 for bombs this year with his next stop being battleship. He seems like a decent actor but for his 1st 2 big movies he really chose some stinkers.

What about Josh Dallas?

From once upon a time? I don't think that would work I could see his once upon a time co star Jamie Doran being a great Finnick or maybe even Justin Heartly.

I disliked his performance in Carter to a large degree and don't want his stink on anything I might see. He was freakin awful as a matter of fact, he does have a good agent though so he will keep getting roles and I'll mostly keep avoiding those films.

I haven't seen one ounce of proof that he is nothing more than an okay T.V actor. I mean January Jones does a good job on Mad Men because the character is written as a hearted ***** but she is an awful actor outside of Mad Men. Kitsch being good for a particular role on a T.V show does not mean that he should be playing leading men in movies as T.V is a whole different monster than films. Not better mind you but different.

I don't buy the Kitsch hype because I have not been given any reason too. He was boring and bland in his bit role in Wolverine and he was bad and bland in John Carter. Unless he has a Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street type of revelatory performance I want him to go away because right now he is just one step above Sam Worthington on my ****** actors list.
