Maybe in some twisted way Spidey needs to fail before it can be reborn anew like batman did.

It seems we'll have to endure Spidey 4: Quest for more Superman parallels in the future

I really don't understand what people who hated this movie expected. All of these movies are cheesy in some way.

Like in Spider-Man when GG attacks Jameson, then Spidey shows up, and GG says " Sleeeeeeeep". I thought GG was over-dramatic and it was hard to take it seriously.

And in Spider-Man 2, how could Doc Ock get punched in the face and beat up so badly, and still not have a scratch on him? He doesn't even have a superpower, and Spidey gets cut up more then Ock does. And why do his tentacles make noise? They make hissing noise and other weird noises that I thought was weird.

And to all the people who say Sandman should've gotten the Ock treatment: WTF does that even mean? I suppose you all mean he should've turned good in the end. Isn't that what Sandman did? When he realized Harry was pretty much dead (at the time), he said " I didn't want it to be like this". He then apologizes in the best way he can, and drifts away. what was Peter supposed to do when he apologized? Continue to fight Sandman?

Overall, Spider-Man is a good first movie, Spider-Man 2 is overrated, and Spider-Man 3 is underrated.


Oh, and about Christopher Young's score:

I thought he did a much better job then Danny Elfman. I don't even know how Danny Elfman's theme song for Spider-Man or GG goes, I just remember a bunch of instruments playing together that sound like The Nightmare Before Christmas. At least I know how Young's theme song for Black-suited Spidey, Sandman, and The New Goblin goes.

Spiderman 3 was PURE cheesiness and filled with some pretty bad one liners some jokes should of just been left out.

I want my spidey villians to be unmerciful spawns of satan not little girls who end up saying "i didn't want this to happen and blah blah blah" To answer your sandman question, yes Spidey should of kept fighting after sandman apoligized HE KILLED HIS UNCLE.

and no way SM2 was overrated it got the credit it deserved for being a great movie.

That was so annoying. "This could be the end of Spider-Man", LOL, did we really need that? All that news coverage did for me was take me out of the scene.

I don't hate the movie. I just think Sam Raimi tried too hard to pull the audiences emotional heart strings. Every time something bad happened to Paker he started tearing up.

I wanted to walk out of the Imax theater, it was that bad.

I was cringing in my seat almost every 5 minutes, I couldn't believe the same director that made Spiderman 2 made this rushed kiddie piece of crap.

DID anyone think that the symbiote score sounded like parts of the INCREDIBLEs score


when parker first put on his black costume and was outside i was taken to my experience watching the incredibles, the trumpet music was pretty much identical and took me out of the scene completely

The first half was the only good part of the movie. I watched it a second time and just pretended the movie was about Sandman. Every scene he is in is perfect IMO. Thanks to Avi the Pidey 3 i wanted to see was crushed.

Yeah i know. It really eats me up inside! After the critical success Sam had with the first two films why did Avi have to jump in with his garbage. Someone on here had a link in thier sig about how he was forced to put Gwen and Venom in the movie. Did they not realize how it would turn out?

Arad is completely out of his mind. Most comic book movies have been disappointing so far. It's just that people start to *really* notice because big-profile sequels finally start to join the suckfest.
