The "I hated Spider-Man 3" Thread!

:csad: Stop it, you're gonna make cry. It's bad enough I had one of my most FAVORITE Spidey characters crapped all over, must you twist the rusted blade?

LOL, I'm reminded of the scene in Revenge of the Sith when Padme says this to Anakin right before Anakin chokes her. :woot:

Edit: Nevermind, I think she says "you're breaking my heart". Oh well, close enough.

You DC guys oughta be lucky and KISS Nolan's ass that he remains with Batman until the final film. I won't be surprised if he walks after The Dark Knight which I know will without a doubt deliver. I never really had much faith in Raimi, now my perceptions have become validated *runs off to cry*

I wouldn't be surprised either but it better not happen! :cmad:

You guys are being pretty whiny, and missing the movies strengths. Like i said, the general audience and casual fan will love this movie, and some hardcores will to..i loved it..

What is this, all the FOX MOVIE EXECS registered today on SHH to bash the movie? :oldrazz:

I've notice it's a lot of the "newbies" on this particular thread that seem to hate the movie .....hhhhhhhmmmmm...makes you wonder if....

If they hated the movie? Hell man, it was torture.

there are so few movies that can be pimp slapped by "daredevil" or "Hulk" but I am starting to think that this might be one of them. I'm starting to think that 07 is going to be a really bad year for movies. if pirates 3 sucks, i might just give up, and save my money for 08.

I seriously doubt that. The movie wasn't even amusing enough. Not much action. It doesn't have even the basics of a commercial flick.

Trust, I was seriously on the verge of tears when I saw how undignified Eddie treated and translated to this film.

My heart really did break :(

I don't wanna wish ill-will towards anyone but Batman fans better watch their tongue. It will soon dig their own grave with Nolan. Oh, I have not doubt Nolan will kick ass on The Dark Knight but him sticking around to finish the trilogy will be surprising.

Taunting us Spidey/Venom fans will not go unpunished :cmad:

Nolan walking after TDK would be justice IMO :oldrazz:

its bad when Peter Parker gets more fighting in than Spiderman......i dont want to see Tobey's face ever in a fight scene, is embarassing.....
Harry was a joke, the whole story of him, the whole triangle of Mary J/Peter/Harry SUCKED.....nothin was explained, Venom was a joke, his voice never changed......the way EVERYONE teamed up was a joke, i mean u figure they would, but wait til u see HOW they actually team up, its laughable.....i''m not a fanboy that nickpicks on the specific nit of a uniform, i want a good movie, i DEMAND a good story or something.....i loved X3 and FF, Batman Begins rocked, i loved spiderman 1 and 2, this my friends, sucked so hard.....i'm not a "newbie" to whats crap and whats not...

sorry guys. I know you really did have your hopes up for this franchise. just be happy that you liked the first two, and try to pretend that this one didn't happen.

Dude its really not that funny... if this happened to Nolan's franchise you wouldn't be laughing... I never liked Superman but I didn't get all riled up at people criticizing it just b/c I wasn't a fan. thanks for the apology and dont do it again

I agree. I loved SR, and I'm ok talking to poster that didn't like it, but I hate when people act like you can't possibly like a movie. Like we all have to be uniform. Liking a movie despite others opinions doesn't make you a spidey zombie. You just liked it.

Post you opinions just don't bash others.

THANK YOU!!! :cwink:

So your personal affections for a director should influence your judgement of their multi million dollar movies?

If nolan made this movie, I'd poop on it just as much. In fact my history shows I've pooped on the silly parts of begins as well.

I'm glad threads like this exist because otherwise it'd just be Raimi's Army stifling dissent 24/7 like from years ago.

Man, what about that 20 minutes Harry-s amnesia... came suddenly for no reason and gone suddenly for no reason. And nothing changed, except Harry forgot everything for 20 minutes. And then, he suddenly remembered everything again, taking us to the original situation all over again... and nothing happened out of that. Oh he danced the twist with MJ! How lucky we were he had that amnesia so he could dance the twist with MJ!

And then... Bernard's confession... ???... out of the blue. He knew the truth and never said anything in spite that the misunderstanding was killing Harry physically and mentally. Not to mention that there probably was some police investigation (a factor that was totally ignored by Raimi in SM2 and SM3 but who cares by now.) But no. Bernard did not talk. And suddenly... for no reason at all, one random night... he confesses because he... he.... well, he confessed - once again - for no reason.

He never said a word with so many reason so I guess he was giving back some balance to the Universe.

I guess the trilogy Curse can happen to anyone....Hope to GOD it doesnt happen to Nolan!!!!

IN NOLAN WE TRUST.... KEEP REPEATING THOSE WORDS!!!! (but I figure WB will drop a brown sac on our faces with their JLA ideas and what not...)

That's a complete lie.

So many kids from my school (which has a graduated class of over 800) went to the midnight showing last night (not hardcore fans, may I remind you) and the movie was torn apart today. So many comments on the chessiness, the Harry/Peter fight in the penthouse, Venom being reduced to nothing more than the guy from That 70's Show, etc. etc. People also laughed at Sandman and the way he faded away at the end and floated in the wind. I admit that I did too.

Nah people are overreacting here. I certainly don't hate the movie. Still have to make my review.

D!

Nolan won't screw up. the few parts of begins that weren't fudged up by Goyer's crap were glimpses of brilliance. I see great things in store for TDK if nolan loosens up and not try too hard to make batman james bond.

:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

Everything we were worried about came to be. This movie did get pimp smacked by sucky Daredevil, Hulk, Electra, and any other crap comic film.

I know for a fact Nolan won't deliver... the expectations will be soo ridiculously high that it won't be possible not to... BB was okay guys nothing oscar worthy... but if TDK is THAT good... its only gonna go down hill from there

The movie never makes it clear that the suit transfers all its knowledge.... No way... I think Brett Ratner directed this........

And with the butler? And his speech? Why not tell harry that **** a year ago if he knew how his dad really died?

So, so bad....

Oh man.......

Just because you don't like the idea that the suit transfers knowledge doesn't mean it doesn't work that way. Anyone with half a brain would immediatly know that from the lines Brock is saying and the fact that he doesn't have to learn things. It's an alien organism and turns out it can remember things is that so hard to understand? I mean only children would have been confused by that.

I think you are also missing the point about Harry too. This film is about forgiveness. It's not a matter of Harry found out the truth and bam he wants to help Pete out. It's a matter of Harry finally forgave Pete. Peter obviously already told him exactly what happened. It's the Butlers lines that help him remember what the most important thing a friend can do, which is forgive.

Did you see the same movie? I mean it's one thing to dislike the movie for logical reasons, but for made up reasons??? No weight to your arguments here.

Are you in highschool??? And are you honestly hear on the boards telling me about being in highschool?

Obviously Sandman wasn't as sympathetic has he could have been, but I am sure your 800 person class didn't want to sit through the non-Venom filled non-action scenes where he goes to a doctor seeking help, etc. since it well wasn't filled with Venom in every moment. Raimi's cut was 156 minutes approx. and what we got was about 139ish.... (since I am too lazy to look it up). Lots of little things were trimmed but it's clear whole sections of Sandman were cut.

As far chessiness is concerned, did you see the other two films... Rain drops keep falling on my head montage scene for example... there she is mary jane, oh boy... that's part of what makes these films as memorable as they are. There is a certain level of humor and a certain level of action, drama and character development that must be balance.

In this film the character development was summed up too quickly for Sandman, who lost most of his scenes at the request of Sony to beef the film but, but they'll surfice again. None of this is groudns to hate the film though.

You think so?

I think he will but you could be VERY right about him dropping that ball. I liked BB though so I don't know if that clouds my opinion.
