That is honestly horrifying. Like, if I were one of the people taking any of those videos, I would've been sure I was just filming the moment of my death. I hope they're alright.

What's sad is that I've been so distracted with a minor illness and these horrible politics I hadn't even noticed the Lounge had changed. I missed all this good stuff!

I watched the first season of The Boys. I liked a lot of it, but the main thing I took away from it was that the actor who plays Homelander should play the Reverse-Flash. He can be two comic book things, there's no law against it. I'd pay at least $11 to watch him slap Ezra Miller around for 110 minutes. It doesn't even have to be a movie.

I'm looking forward to the next season.

I read The Road and just finished Blood Meridian a few days ago. Now I'm going to start Outer Dark. After reading the overview of the book I think I'm in for a dark tale.

Outer Dark is a novel at once fabular and starkly evocative, set is an unspecified place in Appalachia, sometime around the turn of the century. A woman bears her brother's child, a boy; he leaves the baby in the woods and tells her he died of natural causes. Discovering her brother's lie, she sets forth alone to find her son. Both brother and sister wander separately through a countryside being scourged by three terrifying and elusive strangers, headlong toward an eerie, apocalyptic resolution.

I keep trying to point out that stuff like Power Rangers and X-Men: The Animated Series have always been crap, but nobody will listen...
