Most of the villains Kurt Busiek invented for Spider-Man feel more like Avengers villains than spidey

I love how the Punisher is wearing his Punisher outfit at the trial determining his innocence or lack thereof. You'd think his lawyer would have the common sense to inform Frank not to wear a shirt with a giant skull plastered across it to his murder trial. Must be a public defender.

I forget that even in the late 70's and early 80's comics were still so hokey. God, I hope that scene didn't play out that way in the actual book. Another comic conceit that makes me groan is when the trial only takes half a day (or 1-2 issues), from proceedings to witnesses to prosecution to defense to verdict to sentencing, despite the fact the case may involve multiple homicides and high-profile characters.

I never said I liked 'Law and Order'. :oldrazz:

The OJ Simpson trial took over a year I think. These heroes have to at least be as high profile as him. There would be no one-and-done trial if the Punisher was finally brought to justice. It would be a dragged out media circus that would go on for months at least and perhaps years at most.
