Gaaahh.. 14 more inches of snow... I'm doomed... (that's about 35 cm for you posters that live outside the USA, Myanmar, & Burma)...

An amazing Story, part one of one of the best stories by Stan Lee
This is one of the few stories where Gil Kane draws the spidey suit neatly

Much as I love Mantlo's Spider-Man, this is one of the lesser impressive stories, at least it still delivers well

90s, the poorest era for Spider-Man comics IMO, those two issues were alright, nothing more, nothing less

Has Bill Mantlo recovered at all? So sad what happened to him.

On a happier note, I loved that PP:SM cover. In my all-time top twenty I think. It's all due to the sparse coloring creating an effect of the light from the pumpkin-bomb and the white-out snow playing off each other. Simple, yet so evocative and beautiful. The story on the other hand was nothing special, but decent enough in the context of that terrible era.

Aloha,
Yes it is very sad. Being a bicycle enthusiast myself, it's even more of a tragedy.
I have not seen anything new about his condition. Has anyone heard anything?
