I never said I liked 'Law and Order'.
The OJ Simpson trial took over a year I think. These heroes have to at least be as high profile as him. There would be no one-and-done trial if the Punisher was finally brought to justice. It would be a dragged out media circus that would go on for months at least and perhaps years at most.
I think there are comic conventions that you just have to accept and move on. Real life is boring and kind of a drag. Most fiction is a hyper representation of reality. I mean, do you really wanna see 100 or so filings for dismissal being processed. There's too much decompression in comics as it is. I'd rather just skip ahead to " the butler did it" moment.
