Yeah, I wish I hadn't read it. I read the book to Angs movie to before it came out. The only surprises I'll have is what is changed from the draft I read. And I hope that a lot of things have been changed.

It's a crapshoot, really. No one's going to get everything they want in the movie. The vision of the Hulk that we're going to get is going to be that of a select few minds. And it's kind of silly to place so much expectation on those minds, don't you think? I venture to say we'll get a much more thrilling Hulk than we got with Ang's version, but each of us will still be disappointed for one reason or another. No movie completely impresses across all generations, genders, nationalities, etc. That's why I think it starts with having a positive attitude now. If you go into the movie thinking it's going to be crap, then of course it's going to be crap when you come out. Or if you think something must be up at Marvel since "we don't have anything yet," then your opinion of TIH is going to be skewed by that also. Bottom line is to get over ourselves and our "need" to have things we think we're entitled to. And stop comparing what other movies are doing.

I agree with this 100%. I'm in a wait and see mode. I don't like some of what I read but that doesn't mean I'm not going into this with an open mind. I know that they are trying to make the best movie they can so they can make more. I know Ang tried to do that as well. If the CGI in TIH is as good or better than the CGI in Angs movie, I think we'll be ok as long as the story isn't screwed up and the story I read is ok. That's not what I didn't like about the draft. It was the changes (that I have no idea why they are being made again) and a lack of a main character that can talk which in my opinion would be a bigger mistake than the changes. However, from what I understand, the draft I read was the first draft and it has also been changed.

Yeah... there's no pi**ing off AD, but in his defense, we kind of have to protect him as he is a Hulk/Marvel statesman of sorts and a paternal figure around here, don't you agree? Probably at least half of the updates we ever get come from him, and he is one of the more optimistic Hulk fans. I agree with you though... jesting should be allowed. Just have to be creative when navigating through/around AD's delicate internal balance. lol

The last part was directed more to Mr. Badora, whose fanship I seem to have won sometime last evening. My only question for you is how can we effect a substantial increase in your post count? Yeah, I was around for that thread, though not posting. Things seemed to escalate around post #226 until they mushroomed at post #246. It's regrettable, but hey, it's not like the warning signs weren't there. AD did hang with you for a while, but I compare you hanging around with him to playing with fire - you were bound to get burned. Let's face it: No one knows anyone around here on much of a first-name basis. We can all pretend to be getting along, but the bottom line is people can always write you off with one stroke of the finger. You're history and they could care less. But yeah, like you said, "oh well"... it seems to be the only appropriate response.
