Daredevil The Inevitable Costume Thread - Part 1

I'm thinking they'll find a way to make it closer to the body/more form fitting but still keep the suit "armored" somewhat.

Someone mentioned something on the chin, I'd be down for that. It's plays like a helmet in the show. Keep the neck the same, but have it fit his more like a helmet that covers the jawline.

The more I see cosplays and artworks of the black suit, the more I think it's super pretty to look at. Hopefully there would be an upgrade to a closer look of the black suit.

1.Red/Dark red in color

2.Helmet like Cowl

3.Shoulder guards, heavy duty boots and gauntlet like gloves

4.Belt

5.DD sign

Interesting find! I looked at the other designs they're offering though and they aren't exactly 100% spot on. They take a few liberties. So we'll see.

I'd be cool with something like that, though they have taken liberties so who knows. The ab section looks a little off, probably to fit the sponsors and stuff in

But certainly interesting... If anything it proves Marvel is happy with Daredevils success given the character is being used for promotions now

The bullet holes were exclusive for the Punisher announcement. It isn't the new main logo. Elektra's image didn't have the bullet holes and it's for season 2.

I kind of thought the simple inclusion of Melvin Potter in season 1 was a hint that Gladiator was coming.

At least, I hope he is.

That would be a simple solution to "fixing" his suit.

That would be somewhat awkward. My hope is sort of the opposite. There's a continuing ongoing relationship where he gives new versions of his suit. Then his mental illness strikes, he stops meeting with Betsy, stops taking his medication, etc. Next thing you know, he's going on a rampage downtown in his Gladiator suit completely delusional. When he's subdued, he's put in trial in New York and Matt Murdock takes the case to defend him. He'd be interesting because there's no doubt he committed the crimes he's accused of, but he's still not guilty by reason of insanity.

Although, if they do it that way, they shouldn't pull their punches and have him released after he's found not guilty since he'd likely be committed. But you can show him get better while in a hospital and hopefully eventually released (where he might eventually be able to help out Daredevil again).

That's my hope. Well, an explanation would be straight-forward. He just says Melvin gave it to him. No more is needed. The earlier suit was a prototype. Prototypes can be improved upon.

I think people just expected spandex but I think it was a good costume. The only issue I had were the seams/points above the eyes and below the horns and the nose bridge but that grew on me.

Yep. The padding on the chest area were my biggest complaints, but the cowl definitely seemed slightly off to me and certainly has gotten the bulk of the criticism. I also agree about it not being form fitting. I think that's why people like the black suit so much. It was so much less padded/bulky.
