Now that was pretty funny!![]()
I've been a semi-Twilight defender (though I'm not a fan) because I've always felt that Twilight was the 'gateway' for the female fans to get into 'geekier' things. Who doesn't like a female geek?
But now I'm realizing that it's not a gateway. It seems like they're not remotely interested in Anne Rice novels, True Blood, comics, whatever, and just fixate their attention on Twilight.
The bottom line is that Vampire Sucks (like what the spill review said) is exploitative.
Gross 34milAnd I actually thought people learned from Disaster Movie.
And I actually thought people learned from Disaster Movie.
I can't even hate the guys. They just look for a way to make quick money. And releasing trash seems to work for them. I'm disappointed by the people that actually go watch these movies.
You know I haven't seen it yet but maybe it made 2nd place because there are people that do hate the Twilight movies so it can't be that bad but I'm not saying it's good either.
What studios need to do is go back to R-rated spoof movies because the last good R-rated one was the first Scary Movie.
When directors exploit audience for quick, easy cash without using any sort of creativity, I think it's fair to dislike them when other more talented people are struggling to even get a movie funded.
Hell, Duncan Jones had a hard time getting funding for his next movie after Moon that he had to put it on hiatus to do "Source Code" (which will be a good movie but is more maintstream)
It wasn't funny cause it was R-Rated it was funny cause it had somewhat of a plot and was mostly coherent.
That's pretty harsh...People are idiots and filth. So I don't know why this movie's success surprises anyone.
Now, of course, it all comes down to the comedy so there's no way of knowing whether they improved or not unless we watch it.
