Probably my biggest problem with it is that I don't think I liked a single thing about Wonder Woman in the story. I hated how the story painted her as this jaded and bitter failure who was ready to go to war so quickly to prove herself. Superman was somewhat jaded, too, but I felt like the story justified his bitterness. Batman was, of course, spotless in the end since his whole falling out was a farce and he was, of course, the voice of reason in the end. Seems like almost all of the "old guard" characters were given a deal of respect in their roles and characterizations except Wonder Woman, who comes off like a ***** who can't handle her issues for. Wasn't a fan of the Superman romance angle, never been a fan of that. Chicken suit was...the chicken suit. And, while it's unfair to hold this against KC, I hate how that stuff bled into the mainline continuity, but considering how so much of originated there, maybe it's still valid.
Really wasn't a fan of Ross's art. I don't know, the whole photo-realism thing never looks right to me with superheroes.
Lastly, as well written and as much as I did enjoy it, I couldn't help but feel like the whole thing was just one, big nostalgia wank off after it was done and over. I get it, because I wasn't really a fan of the dark '90s and the heroes it produced either, but I don't know, I never got into the mentality of 'this all sucks, don't you remember when it was all better? Them was the days, I tell you what.'
But having said all of that, I did think it was great. I liked more than I disliked
