I have a feeling we won't be seeing Brock become Venom until the middle of the second season, which is a long way away. :cmad:

It's already been confirmed by the producer that The Last Arc of Season 1 will be that of The Black Symbiote Spider-Man & VENOM . :sym:

The Gwen/Eddie thing is more than likely to advance the Venom subplot. He goes with her thinking Peter's sitting it out, but they find out he really went out with some new chick. So Gwen will be jealous and mad that Peter "lied" to her and is apparently seeing someone he never even mentioned to anyone else (well, Harry knew about MJ) and Eddie will be REALLY mad that Peter "lied" to Gwen so he could go out with someone else instead of just saying he was going with someone else.

And then with Gwen likely trying harder to get Peter's attention Brock will just be more angry and even jealous himself if he starts to develop real feelings for Gwen.

I like this, instead of having Brock hate Spider-Man, the relationship will be that he hates Peter instead. Like what they were trying to do in SM3 if Brock hadn't been a forced inclusion.

dude you've fallen for the spidermanhype

as 'powerful' as he is?

also, what't the point of having a villain with superstrength who isn't at least as formidable as spidey in a confrontation, if not more.

the whole point of having spidey fighting people with enhanced abilities is that it provides him with a greater threat to tackle.

If tombstone is going to be a major player as 'the big man', then surely he has to act the part and not feel intimidated by spiderman in any shape or form, the intimidation should come the other way round.

I'm much happier seeing spidey get his ass kicked then not because it ultimately helps his peter parker storyline more as he is ultimately the greatest under appreciated underdog out there. ESPECIALLY if they are portraying him as still being a child.

you say he's not batman or daredevil but the way marvel writes him sometimes, he might as well be superman.

The problem is that in making spidey stronger and stronger, you're wounding his rogue gallery list so why not ground the character in order to make all his villains greater threats instead of having the only person able to beat him being galactus...:o

Yes, powerful, as in able to bench 10 tons, basically the strength of 100 men.
Powerful, as in having a Spider-sense, which when used properly, could make him untouchable.
Powerful, as in having 16x the reflexes of a normal human being.
Powerful, as in his agility and wall crawling abilities.
Powerful, as in having webbing which is 5x the strength of steel.

These are the powers Spider-Man started off with, not to mention the ones he now has. If you don't think Spider-Man is a powerful hero, think again. Seeing what happened with Tombstone.....or Fancy Dan.....or Ox just doesn't make sense. There are plenty of ways to take Spider-Man down without watering down his powers just for that moment in time.

No, it's much better to have Brock hate Spider-Man first before Parker. What's the fun with Brock hating Peter? From his perspective, he can beat up Peter anytime he wants. If he hates Spider-Man, there's nothing he can do about it, which builds up even more hate, and it makes it all the more satisfying when he gets the symbiote and can finally stand up to Spider-Man. Who can forget the scene from TAS on the rooftop when Brock first confronts Spider-Man with the symbiote.

Yes, as stated earlier, Brock needs to hate both Spidey & Peter, although that's probably not going to happen here in 'Spec SM'. It just doesn't feel right. Him hating both these characters, only to discover they have always been one in the same, and later seeing connections that was under his radar for the longest makes the revelation all the sweeter.

dude i've been saying the same things you have since the beginning, but apparently logic is lost on most people here. there is a strong "everything is perfect" belief here.

Well, Since Brock gets cazier over time, he most likely will hate Spidey & Peter.

Well when he finds out Peter Parker is Spider-Man, it will certainlly fill Brock with more hatred. Anyone remember Natural Selection? And the events that transpire?

Very true, it's going to be so awesome and interesting.

Yeah, everyone else is illogical just because their opinions don't mesh with yours, right?

Madness I tell you!

no, but when they think it makes sense that a regular guy can hold Spider-man in a bear hug......

Yea i just sent a question hopefully it is picked by him and he answers.

spider-manhero may i ask what your question is tell me here or in pm.

My questions said:
Since it never hurts to ask, and if I cross any lines, all you have to do is ignore that question, I'm going to get presumptuous with some of my questions.

1) I gotta know...what will drive Eddie to hate Peter/Spidey to the point of wanting to kill him?

1.1) Okay, that may be too much, so maybe I'll ask if Eddie's hatred will be towards only Peter, or Spider-Man, too...

1.2) Okay, okay, at least can you reveal by what episode will we see their brotherly bond breakdown and Eddie's dark side come out?

2) Will the opening feature the same animation in later seasons, or will the animation change, such as featuring season 2 characters in the opening?

3) Have there been any Gargoyle referrences in this show? Besides Max getting electrocuted by the eels in "Interactions"?

Well, it was an honor wasting your time with these nerdy questions. Seriously, big fan of Gargoyles, and I love your handling of 'Spec SM'!

I cut right to the chase. Thanks for posting that link!

nice questions venom. You guys want to know what i asked?

Don't have to ask, just post! Tell us! (Actually, I'm reading your question now on his site, it is listed as unanswered).
