Its good to see this movie getting rave reviews, and that the twist, while disappointing for some does not keep the film from being great.

I disliked the twist, but everything that happened before it and the final action sequence more than make up for it. To anyone who's excitement has gone down from hearing about the twist, don't let it ruin your excitement. There's loads to be excited about from beginning to end.

I wouldn't be surprised if I end up feeling the same way about this film that you do.

Some US bloggers are putting up their reviews. Can't say how happy I am that a lot are saying you can tell it's a Shane Black film.

It's like it's half a sequel to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang at times, especially right at the beginning. It's still a great film though.

Think you will, i mean the Mandarin was one of the main reasons i got so excited for this film. yet despite not liking the twist i had a great time.

I am sure most people will really like it. Great mix of humour, serious, and well done action.

Seen it. To stay spoiler free to those that haven't... All I'll say is this -

I greatly enjoyed the movie, felt it was better than IM2, but not quite at IM level. Sir Ben was brilliant. There were a couple of stumbles... But none that ruined it for me.

i wonder if shane black will be in high demand now?

this was his comeback in a lot of ways, and you can tell he gave it his all.

I feel like Marvel is the Lebron James of the movie industry. Are these actors and directors really all delivering their best work with Marvel movies on their own or is it the Marvel movies coaxing it out of them and making them better?

...let's leave Lebron out of this :csad:

I haven't watched the movie yet, but those who have watched it: isn't it a bit disappointing that [BLACKOUT]Tony never gets to use Extremis, I mean whats the point of it all? not a big deal but kinda annoys me[/BLACKOUT]

I'd say no,
Tony not using the extremis isn't a big deal really, the extremis is very important to the plot, and someone even more shocking ends up using the extremis in a very surprising scene, can tell you who if you don't mind being spoiled.

"Iron Man 3" has been trending on Twitter all day, I'm too scared to click it and read stuff though haha. Prolly because of the premier and people who have seen the movie.

I've seen that said a couple times but I don't see it trending.

I loved the film, thought it was great. I have a lot of thoughts on it, especially on what the ending meant and implied but I'm going to wait until more people have seen it before I do so we can all have a nice, open discussion about it all without excessive spoiler tags.

I haven't been in the forums for MONTHS though and just in case he's still hanging around and people are still taking him seriously... Pretty much everything LokiD said was a load of steaming crap.

You have to take a lot of what he says with a grain of salt. It's like he's just posting whatever fan-fic he finds over at 4chan.
