Regrettably, I gotta agree with most of you guys.. it's not a great look at all. If only it had a more metallic finish, and actually appeared gold.
Oh well, no doubt he'll have more than one new armour in his new film *fingers crossed*.

I have no doubt that after an extended period of time of looking at it, some people will invariably change their minds about the looks as they will have gotten used to it. I also have no doubt that depending on how the suit is portrayed in the movie it will have an effect on people and how they perceive it.

But there will also be a group of people who see this armor now and find it distasteful, who will watch the movie and still think it is ugly, and maintain just as well that they never liked the look.

Personally I hope to be in the first group and not the second, though there are varying degrees in-between.

I didn't like the suit at first, but after thinking about it, the gold makes sense. The Extremis suit is supposed to be an infected nano version of the suit. I think this its supposed to look infected.

I don't hate it....but I have a feeling this isn't the final armor.....I think this will probably his minor armor akin this the suitcase armor

it definitely not the final armor..somehow they are gonna incorporate extremis into it

The close-up shots of it w/better lighting were an improvement- I think it will look better on film and in motion than it looks just standing out on a stage.

Still, if the chest piece were red, all the gold wouldn't be so jarring.

Personally, I like it. They are challenged with always having to go for new looks, and one of IM's first Armors was all gold, basically he painted the Mark I with gold paint in the comics.

It looks distinct and different, and this is probably something that's only going to show up at the end of the movie anyway. I assume he'll spend the majority of his time in the Mark VII, and use the Mark VIII at the end of the movie.

The armor almost looks as if they didn't have enough time to get the metallic finish on it so took a basic representation of what they had ready. I'm judging this based on the concept art that was released earlier, which had a more metallic finish than what was shown today.

I'm.....actually quite loving the design, I mean I understand some of the complaints but I actually quite like it.

The design of the new armour is nice. I wish they could just tone down the gold a little bit but overall, I like it.

Not crazy about the color scheme, but hopefully it looks better on film.

As others have said, it looks more cream than gold. Although I wish we could have also seen War Machine's patriotic armor.

Like most I could do with a little more gold, but Im not hating this, I think it'll look just fine if not great on screen and I noticed the lines in the faceplate. Like Mark V. SO Im thinking this is made up of a lot of small moving parts like the Mark V. This COULD BE the Extremis armor. But if it aint it aint.


All in all I think its good, but not great.

The actual design of the suit might be my favorite yet, but the cream color is really throwing it off. I found this if anyone was wondering what it looks like with the traditional color scheme. (Credit to user Spats of Neogaf)
