The Issue of Hulk and Civilian Deaths

To make it kind of simple, the origin is the same as the one of the TV Show. Leterrier said when he came to this project his asked if he could use the TV Show origin and Norton also expressed his liking to the TV Show origin. Banner is working for the US Army under General Ross as part of his "Bioforce Super Soldier Experiments" and if the this origin is same to the TV Show one then Banner is working on making people strong like Banner (Bixby) did in the TV Show.

Confusing stuff!

some one just said that he was working on radiation resistance not intentional strength

Yeah that is what the first draft says but you had Leterrier saying he wanted to do the TV Show origin and Feige making it sound more like the TV Show origin. But I am sure that it is more on radiation resistance.

Sorry Sarg, no "trying to find the hidden strength all humans have" in this.

Okay, you're so hardcore and edgy because you just want to see killing. We get it.

No no, he's "sarcastic", get it? It's even his name. It's not just a lame excuse to be a buttmunch.

Suspension of disbelief can only go so far. If a regular human in a movie is getting hit by a boulder or crashes in a Helicopter that goes off in smoke, he should die. If you play down human injuries to the point it becomes a joke, this turns into a parody movie. Might as well then go watch SUPERHERO MOVIE.

If that's the case, then every time someone gets knocked unconscious in a movie (sometimes numerous times) then they should suffer some kind of long lasting or permanent brain damage.

If the Hulk kills people, so does Superman, Captain America, Batman, Spider-man, Iron Man, and every major superhero.

This is a fun stupid topic to debate, like Superman having sex with a normal woman and not killing her, or Spider-man pooping web's out of his butt. But seriously, it has no place in any discussion about a fictional Superhero. this is a pure example of people lacking suspension of disbelief and an unwanted demand for realisim in escapist entertainment.
Just to be technical , All those characters have killed before, but it's obvious as to what you're alluding to and I agree 100%.

Whose to say? Being forced into a state of unconsciousness does not leave the door wide open for brain damage. But why tack on such a fickle sense of reality to a forum of entertainment that requires the viewer to suspend disbelief for only as much as 2 hours at a time?

Especially soldiers, who at doing their jobs are trying to kill him, it's ok. The Hulk doesn't kill intentionally (old thread was huge about this) but does defend himself. Now, him busting out of a walkway happens to shoot debris around. The Hulk didn't throw a rock at the soldier. Two, the soldiers in the factory get run over just being in the way as Hulk is using the tank as a shield to move through the warehouse. He could've gone after Blonsky, but instead barrels through the wall to get out. He tossed the metal at the helicopter firing at him and Betty (he was protecting her from harm). In the final battle, the collateral damage is some innocent who has rock fall on him laying in the street (doesn't show him dead though) when Hulk falls into the street and emerges from the ground. Lastly, if you understood the dynamics of this iconic character, you would realize he is not a cold blooded killer, but will defend himself when necessary. Don't give people an excuse to change his dynamics in this thread or a soapbox to spew non-sense. Aveit, once again you emerge to fight the injustice of character changes when none are taking place, lol. Nice to see you again.

If Hulk kills people, then changes ARE most definately taking place, sorry if i dont accept everything they are doing on this movie because i worked a little bit on it. A killing Hulk is not the Hulk, plain and simple.

Hulk has killed in the comics and it wasn't an accident, he purposely did it.

Pure and simply incorrect.

???????????????????
you worked on the movie?????

Yeah, also because in the fabric there are not "bad guys"... just soldiers, I think it's different... also considering that they are apparently using just bullets and grenades... I mean, c'mon, bullets and grenades against The Hulk, this is in anyway a serious threat for him... at least, not to justify a killer attack to save his life!

 SPOT ON, the are NO threat to Hulk, so he shouldnt try to kill them.

But that wasnt the classic Savage Hulk.

Erm yes it was, He killed Fialan in Incredible Hulk II #148, very much the classic savage hulk.

Look first you say a killing Hulk is not the Hulk, we all know in recent times the Hulk has killed, so you're seriously saying that is not the Hulk, you can't have double standards about this. Like it or not the Hulk does kill, the Hulk is this new film may kill, though it will not be cold blooded murder.

Calm down princess, I get it, you're a self-righteous d-bag.

Oh come on. You post up that you want to see Hulk kill "everything and everyone", are we supposed to just marvel at how extreme you are or something? Seriously, is that what you want to see? Maybe you'd be better off watching horror flicks or something.

Heh, well then I guess he's being sarcastic now. :oldrazz:

No EB did, so he thinks anything they do with it, even if it deviates from the character fundamentaly, is fine and acceptable.

Oh how the tables have turned. The hypocrisy of this statement just makes me laugh.

The dichotomy of the Hulk is he's Marvels purest soul, and it's most direful combatant.

Woe to thee who dare harm an innocent in his presence, for even God won't spare you from his retribution.

man.....................that was deep :word: and true at the same time, where did you get that from ?

Exactly, the Hulk of recent times who kills just isnt an interesting character to me, and isnt the Hulk i know and love. Okay, the classic Savage Hulk has killed, but its been very rare, and IMO a stupid mistake by the writers. Banner's mind is in the Hulk somewere THATS what should stop him from killing.

Oh how the tables have turned. The hypocrisy of this statement just makes me laugh.

Please explain.
