Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

He says he BELIEVES he knows what movie Scott is talking about.

So still a whole lot of nothing.

The Joker trailer now has 35.8m views and 1m likes on Youtube. The only other movies with a million likes or more are Infinity War, Endgame, Venom, Detective Pikachu, The Lion King, Spider Man: Far From Home and Captain Marvel.

Except he's a clown who lives in Gotham who presumably calls himself the Joker, but yeah, absolutely nothing....:whatever:

Yeah that was quite disturbing alright - what would be even more messed up is if we don't see those thugs again, they're just random manifestations of life's cruelty.... that life is as random and pointless as the Joker believes it is.

Yes, and when you put it that way, that would make for an even better movie, but would make me that much angrier...which means the film will be well-written. God damn it lol

It will be about Heath Ledger’s Joker’s Dad!! Watch. There are so many amazing theories indicating that at the end he’ll cut up his son and ask Why So Serriiouss????

He obviously is not Heath Ledger's Joker's Dad. People actually believe those kind of things?

You'd be amazed at some of the crackpot theories fanboys conjure up and believe.

do you not remember the whole jesse eisenberg is lex luthor's son theory

Well, in fairness, he was “Alexander Luthor Jr.” and his father died under suspicious circumstances. But I think the theory that the “real” Luthor would return came about after people saw how awful Jesse was and they were hoping that he’d be disposed of.

I hope every single scene from that trailer is in the movie! None of this bait 'n' switch ****!

Same here won't mind though if its to save a big plot point from being shown though.

Do we have any info on De Niro's character?

Had to laugh at the very small but very loud group who seem to think its going to promote violence or something like that I tapped out after reading a couple tweets of that drivel.

Didn't Todd philips mention at cinemcon that there's surprises or secrets in the film?

So, one thing that really stands out in this trailer, to me, which I feel is weird and possibly worrisome: at no point in it is the Joker actually doing anything bad. At least, such as you can clearly tell. Without knowing who the character is supposed to be, would you even recognize he's supposed to be a villain at all?

That's the beauty of a perfectly executed trailer though. It's much better to hint that this guy's off-kilter rather than have him behave out-right ghoulishly in the initial introduction. Leaves the audience wondering what will transpire, which is no small feat given the ubiquitous nature of this character.
