She hasn't seen a lot of movies, has she?

Nihilism is a key component of the Joker's character, so this doesn't really surprise me. It's pretty much what I expect from the movie.

So 78% ... another 5/5 from UK (Daily Star Andy Lea) ... the MC score makes sense given that the majority of those critics are 'top critics' and the average for them on RT is 7.15/10 ... those 4 negatives are really killing the score with thse 20s and 30's.

Still ... kind of surprised they still won't certify it given that we're starting to see a general trend upwards instead of downwards as 35 of the last 40 reviews have been positive.

Looking forward to seeing this, but I really wish Phillips would keep his mouth shut. I didn't buy into any of the early criticism from people who only saw trailers, but with each interview he gives, he validates the backlash.

Yes. I’m not sure if “I stopped making comedies because I can’t do offensive jokes anymore - so I made this” is exactly the best line for the marketing

Well, imo he's right. You can't make fun of nothing or people will crucify you. People love to get offended by everything these days. And the thing is, i think dark humor is the best kind of humor you can make. And the kind of humor people remember.

Just look at the backlash this one and Jojo Rabbit are getting. Thankfully, it seems to happen more in America.

It's not nonsense. I agree his movies in the past were bad. But what he's saying has a point. People (in America, at least) get offended at EVERYTHING these days. Look at the Jojo Rabbit outrage, or the Dave Chappele outrage, or the Joker outrage.

Both sides, not only "SJW", act like triggered *****es everytime something hurts their feelings. Look at Youtube with the Incel army and Twitter with the bluecheck army as examples.
