Absolutely haha. I'd say even more with Ledgers Joker. I was in high school when that film came out, and oh man, not only was it the talk of the classes that fall, but there was Jokers EVERYWHERE. Along with so many Joker impressions, some good and some not so great haha.

I've considered doing that. I've never cosplayed before but I've been getting urges to. I've come very close to doing a Kylo ren cosplay, but never got the full outfit (aside from the black series mask) and Ledgers Joker is on my list too.

Joker earned $1.615 million on Wednesday, down just 34% from its previous Wednesday. That gives it a 27-day domestic cume of $283.784 million as it approaches the end of its first month in theaters. And since it opened overseas on Wednesday the 2nd, its month-long total is now (presuming a continued 32.6/67.4 domestic/overseas split) $870.5 million worldwide.

So, barring a fluke, it’ll pass the $873 million global cume of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice sometime today. At which point, it will be the fourth-biggest DC Comics flick ever behind The Dark Knight ($1.004 billion in 2008), The Dark Knight Rises ($1.081 billion in 2012) and Aquaman ($1.155 billion in 2018). Aquaman’s sans-China global cume was “only” $857 million.

i think it's both cool and hilarious at the same time that it got that BIG.
it is one of the most popcorn movies i've seen. all fun.

Based on science, putting Aquaman and Joker in the same movie will make you 2 billion dollars, and 500M from China alone, my wife said the online reaction to Joker/Joaquin was amazing they really love him there, even though the movie is not even released there. Now that's a joke.

joaquin really carries the movie - i don't think it would've worked without him. that performance.

the movie might be about american society, but i feel it's a universal tale too.

it's a cautionary tale - the failure of a society and how it + classism can give birth to people like the joker.
and it's unsettling because you question - are we capable of that kind of evil that arthur becomes?
do we have it in us too?

they pretty much used the concept of joker as a jumping off point to talk bout these broader societal issues.
i think people are connecting to that as well.

Well, it's one of the contenders with the highest odds and chances according to Oscar predictions. I think this one could be the second cbm nominated to BP.

But who knows, maybe they nominate endgame too/instead, considering it has the hightest box office of all time.
