Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

I don't get a "criminal mastermind" or "mob boss" vibe from this Joker at all, so I don't know. Can't really think what else you could do with him.

Many have said this before (including me) but that aspect of the character is easily something we can imagine him developing during his years in Arkham. Ala Bane educating himself whilst growing up in prison.

But yeah, idk if that automatically means there should be a sequel.

Maybe something like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest where it's a psychological thriller set within Arkham? I don't know.

You have another instance of Arthur being the hero of his own story. Maybe get Hugo Strange in there as a Nurse Ratched type.

Oh God yes!

That’s the only way I can see this continue. Phillips likes to borrow inspiration from classics, I’d like to see an entire movie like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest that sees Arthur and a bunch of other future Batman villains who he engages with with Hugo being the group’s psychiatrist. Alternatively, I’d like “A Clockwork Orange” like retelling that sees him being “cured” but it’s evident that he’s truly been the Joker all along with no remorse for his actions and he just snaps right back, but this all happens as he goes around Gotham causing chaos with a small group of followers.

"Clockwork Orange Joker" could work. You know, it's too bad Harley Quinn is unlikely to appear in an non Suicide Squad related movie, because you could use her in an Arkham related movie as a therapist, before her transformation. It's easy to tone her down. Hugo Strange, though? The name is almost too out there.

Congrats to Phillips, Phoenix and the rest of the crew on the continuing critical and financial success of this one. It pretty much dominated the nominations and honestly it deserves all the recognition. Let those on Film Twitter completely loose their minds right now lol.

Dude, I am so overhyped right now! They really did it! Against all odds! against all the false outrage from the media and the critics! And what really puts a cherry on top of all of this is that it DESTROYS the credibility of aggregate websites like Rotten Tomatoes! Joker is now one of quite a few movies that defy what Rotten Tomatoes(and sites like it) says is good or bad. People should take such critic aggregate websites as the trash that they are. Movie-going was so much more fun when everyone hated critics or only had a select few that they gave the time of day. We're not supposed to take the opinions of all of them at once. It was NEVER supposed to work that way!

Joker has the most academy award nominations of any comic book film ever now! This is a BIG WIN for DC fans A BIG WIN!!
