I've been fairly mixed on Cameron, but he's definitely hit his groove with the latest episode.
Acting is crazy is very, very, hard to pull off. The performance aspect of it can easily be transparent, and that's something both Jared and Cameron suffered from. Thankfully with this latest iteration it's been toned down a lot more, allowing Cameron's delivery and presence to shine through.
I just think it's amazing how Cameron gets to play two different sides of Joker's personality, and his Jerome was already a mishmash of Heath, Jack, Mark, even Death Of The Family Joker , but it's refreshing to see Joker brought back to his roots as a coldblooded, straightforward killer and a calculating mastermind after soooo many "LOLZ SO RANDOM AND KOOKOO KRAZY XD " Jokers again and again, especially after the worst and most tryhard example of that recently with Leto.
So I get that it's nice to see him do something a bit more subtle, but that thing you just described...that's The Joker as he's existed for, oh, 80-85% of his history.
It's always weird to me that people have this finite idea of Batman when there's like 50 million different versions of the character and mythos.

So is no one going to talk about... The news?![]()

I feel like WB, ironically enough, is being too loyal to their employees.
