The Joker Thread - Part 1

It honestly isn't a huge deal if the person playing the Joker isn't a man as long as The Joker appears masculine. I think of the character in the abstract anyway. As if Joker were created by the universe or The Devil or God out of thin air. The Joker just is. The physical embodiment of pure evil.

I think he should look male, but he doesn't have to appear super masculine if that makes sense.

If Battinson broke her nose, twitter would cancel the entire trilogy.

Anyways, i’ll give you guys credit for coming up with a different name. But I can’t wait til it doesn’t happen.

Do you think Reeves is going to REALLY experiment with Joker? He seems really into the idea of giving us versions of these characters we’ve never seen before while staying true to their spirit. My preference for Joker might be too traditional for what he’s cooking up. I’m scared lol. In a good way.
I feel like he'll still be recognizable as The Joker and maybe even stand out just a little bit but he'll still be toned down. Even Phoenix's design wasn't that busy, so I think a colorful Joker COULD work as long as it doesn't look like cosplay, if that makes sense.

Lately I've been imagining something in the vein of Arkham Origins, where most of the colors are there, but it's as if the articles of clothing have been patched together from maybe a few different places (for example: the bloody green waistcoat, grey dress pants, dark purple coat). And, he still looked pretty clean despite all that!

I’ve been watching Barry and becoming more and more convinced that Hader would be great

He’s pretty transformative. He can be big and bulky, but play that down as well.

Bring Goyer back so we can hear Michael Shannon salvage more of his terrible dialogue by shrieking it like a goddamn banshee.

The John Byrne inspired Krypton was my favourite aspect of MOS. Looked and felt like it was ripped straight from the pages of his run.

That opening is ridiculous in a great way. Feels like the climax to some other, crazy Edgar Rice Burroughs style planetary romance.
