The Depp rumor is Grade A bull****, but I honestly don't hate the idea.

yeah, even friends of mine on Facebook tag me in links from them all the time and I'm just like "... It's ****************. Stop believing it " lolWhy is this site treated with any legitimacy at all? People like Clownfish TV and Geeks + Gamers spead this site's garbage and people buy it.
It would definitely be interesting for them to go back to casting someone either just starting out as an actor or someone obscure/unknown. That being said, at the moment I'm still imagining someone relatively famous being cast. His voice in Brokeback Mountain is so far removed from his normal speaking voice. Not surprising that he was able to come up with something so unique for Joker too. He disappeared into his roles early on much more than Crispin ever has. I’m a fan of Crispin Glover but we’ve seen what he can do as an actor. With Heath, he hadn’t even hit his peak yet.
We probably need a similar situation for the next Joker.
I brought up Depp, which is similar to Glover. They were both popular choices in the pre TDK days and they’re very predictable. We pretty much know what we’d be getting.
We really need someone fresh. That’s why choices like Ben Foster and Michael Pitt are boring to me. They’ve been around for a while and haven’t broken through to that next level even though they’re solid. I want an actor on the precipice of that next level like Heath was.
Adam Driver feels like the most exciting choice for me.
Funnily enough, ever since Suicide Squad (I know, I know) I've started to appreciate and sometimes even prefer a cleaner, kind of younger-looking Joker as well as him being involved in organized crime. That's just me though and this is coming from someone who loves the Arkham Joker for instance. It's a shame because I've really fallen back in love with the idea of the Joker being older than Batman. As I often point out, even in his first appearance the Joker looked old, tired and weathered down. A great contrast to the bright and colourful style the character had going on. Add to that that my favourite onscreen incarnations are Phoenix and Nicholson, well...

Very, very thin ice!It would definitely be interesting for them to go back to casting someone either just starting out as an actor or someone obscure/unknown. That being said, I'm still imagining someone relatively famous being cast.
Timotee Chalamet or Lucas Hedges thenI remember though, I think it was Neal Adams (?) who said his ideal Joker would be around 25 or maybe even a little younger. Sort of like an Alex DeLarge figure.
Ah yes, the only young actors working.Timotee Chalamet or Lucas Hedges then
I honestly don't get the appeal for Chamalet.
Not really sure about Driver looks-wise. Maybe he could play Pyg or Scarecrow? He definitely seems like an interesting candidate for Scarecrow. Right now, I'm leaning towards Paul Bettany as Joker but my preferences tend to change.Likewise. Driver would be insane though.
