I'm not gonna lie, i'v been reading the past few pages and i'm kinda lost. When i look at this joker, to me, all the iconography except clothing (which is obvious, he's locked up) is there.
It's there...but it's a very grotesque, gnarly sort of version of it. But I actually find it more gross than scary. I think end of the day, I'd just like to see him with a fuller head of green hair, some white makeup on the face and bright red lips when he's the fully formed "Joker". That's all. It think it would really crank up the Joker-ness of it all by a significant amount.
I'm not gonna be upset if they don't do that though...I don't hang my hat on the aesthetic choices as be-all, end-all of these movies. But I see a work in progress here. Reeves has made it clear that he is not yet "The" Joker.
