Jenn like a tatum or a Reynolds obviously looks like your modern 2010 american
It's a North American thing. :o

Exotic enough?

What a beaut

Gemma is perfect though.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Let's not get carried away, I would consider her one of the better choices for WW. Perfect would have been, well I can't say since I know if I name an actress I will be discredited.

Ahh...I forgot about Olivia Wilde as a possible WW candidate.

All she would need to do is tone up that body of hers.

She has the exotic look indeed.

Your choices are based purely on physicality, which is rather immature. If you actually cared about these properties, you'd want the best possible actor/ actress.

Oscar winning/ nominated actors are sought out for these roles (and populate both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Nolan Batverse) because they have proven themselves adept at their craft.

The fact that I even have to argue "why do people want the best quality actors?" with you reflects very poorly on you. This isn't cosplay. We actually have to watch these people deliver lines and bring these characters to life. Sometimes a bit of likeness should be sacrificed in order to insure quality of performance.

Wow that was cute. Now for some truth. I'm not casting purely on physicality. However, I am casting on actors/actresses that do somewhat resemble the characters they are portraying and CAN act rather than just well known actors because they have been given the chance to prove themselves and have made it to the height of oscar worthy performances.

Just cause an actor hasn't been in an oscar nominated role or film doesn't mean they are bad. Just because they haven't had that big break yet doesn't mean that this couldn't be their launching pad.

No one is suggesting casting purely on looks or for cosplay as you put it. However, the fact that you think a JL film needs Gosling, Gylenhaal or Cooper for credibility is benign.

Who was Bale really before the TDK series? A good actor. Who was Chris Evans before F4 or Capt. America? A good actor. Who was Hemsworth before Thor? A good/decent actor. Who was Cavill before MOS? A good actor I could go on and on. Fact of the matter is Gosling, Gylenhaal and Cooper aren't the end all definitive male lead choices for casting roles. And just because an actor comes from the USA network or CW doesn't mean they are terrible. Actors take what they can get and some are just waiting for their big break. No one was checking for Gosling before the Notebook, but after that film his star power jumped significantly. Has he followed that film up with good performances? Yes, he has, but he was also given the opportunity to because of his acting and his star power. This is Hollywood and it's not just talent that gets actors where they are. Looks, the right connects, star power, being "in" at the moment or the right time all play a factor.

Bryan Cranston has received so much praised for his role in Breaking Bad, but before that role when he was on Malcom in the Middle no one was checking for him. It wasn't until he was given his big break. Yeah he earned it, but the role was still given to him and could have went to someone else just as good if not better. Stanley Tucci can act circles around Gylenhaal Cooper and Gosling but didn't get his due respect until much later in his career.

So don't down an actor just because they are on tv or have bit parts in films and haven't got their break yet. Seeing how Hollywood works I wouldn't be surprised if in few months some of the actors you consider only good enough for USA or CW are at the top of everyone's list and praised as the next big stars.

I will also end with a question. Was LOTR, Avengers, the Hobbit, XMen First Class or a few other big popcorn films unbearable to watch because they lacked Oscar nominated/winning actors?

I'm not saying put models in these roles. I never said that...at least I don't think. What I'm saying is give some quality actors their shot, if they earn it, rather than just going after a big name, just to have a big name. To me that's just as bad as giving the role to a very attractive or popular person because they are popular or attractive in the public's eye. You don't see me saying they should cast Beyonce as WW because she is basically WW in the music world do you? No. Have some sense and comprehend what I'm saying.

JL LOTR style back-to back and.....F**** Gosling!

I really hope Lawrence doesn't play her. Not cause of physical reasons.

Yes, she won an oscar. That doesn't mean she can play WW better than other actresses who haven't won an oscar.

Olivia Wilde has the look, ive been warming up to her lately when it comes to WW but yeah she needs to tone up.

I honestly have to check out more Gemma before I make a decision, but as of now ill say no. But ill keep an open mind.

Will they actually make the trinity be all uk actors?
That would be interesting.

Olivia Wilde as Wonder Woman is brilliant. She's so similar to how I imagine WW looking in live action, shes got the face down for sure, but she's so skinny. If she bulked up she'd be ideal

Actual question: Why does Wonder Woman have to be muscular?

It's not like it's her muscles that give her super strength....right?

I guess it's her look though. It would be like having a non-muscular Superman.

yeah she would have the most work to do physique wise than any other suggestion she is pretty skinny

atleast atwell and gemma already got some meat on their bones

Jennifer Lawrence
Olga Kurylenko
Amber Heard
Emily Blunt
Mary Elizabeth-Winstead
Olivia Wilde
Gemma Arterton
Jessica Biel
Hailey Atwell
Adrianne Palicki (wasn't the worst part of the WW show I'd be down with giving her another chance)

Genesis Rodriguez and Gina Carano would be good if only looks mattered

to me there is no perfect WW look she doesn't look the same in her comic interpretations as long as the actress is attractive, black hair, strong mature look, tallish between 5'6-5'9 thats all that matters to me

for example reeve and henry dont really look like twins but they both look and feel like superman

This is Olivia Wilde after her supposed "weight gain"

what a babe indeed

Damn... She doesn't even really need to bulk up honestly. She's good where she is. She'd make a fine WW as is

We have yet to find a actress that fit the description as well or better than Linda Carter.

she was too skinny for my liking WW actress should aspire to have lynn collin's john carter physique which is muscular but also very toned carter was just tall and skinny

I for one don't think Linda Carter made a good Wonder Woman....

I don't think Lynn Collins would either.

I suggested Olivia a lng time ago and I still think she would be great.

You shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion....

I kid, :oldrazz: but she really was an ideal WW imo...

and damn Lucy Lawless shouldve done a Wonder Woman movie in the 90s. it seems like there were so many awesome choices for WW in the 90s..

Tom Raider era Angelina Jolie, Lucy Lawless, Monica Belucci, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jennifer Connelly...

Marion Cotillard and Rachel Weisz would been great like 10 years ago aswell but too many have gotten aged out:csad:

I suggested Channing tatum as WW weeks ago, and that was well received then ;) but later he was deemed better suited for an ex stripper version of darkseid

One day the humor will return here. I think if we're consistently suggesting flat chested actresses, they might give the comic book version of WW a breast reduction. Maybe even a 12 issue arc on the procedure. Hephaestus probably performs the surgery, but cheetah and Steve try to stop it. I'm not sure why cheetah is against it, but someone can figure that out.

Oh yeah, sticking with Rebecca Hall for WW.
