She's a horrible actress. Just dreadful. That's why she's not starring in big movies. Marvel doesn't have her or anyone else on exclusive contracts, she can do a DC movie if it's offered. But no one really wants her.

First I've heard of it.

Just as easily as you can say that, I can turn around and say no, she's not a horrible actress. Not even close. And she's not starring in big movies? She's starring in one of the biggest movies of the year. :whatever:
Why isn't Hayley Atwell starring in big movies not called Captain America? is she horrible too?

Also, I didn't say Marvel signed exclusive contracts, I said they wouldn't WANT her to play a DC character, which I'm sure they don't.

I'd be inclined to agree. I think people are casting her just based on looks (which, sadly, is usually the way people cast female roles on the Internet). Granted, the look is important, but I've seen Alexander in a number of things now and I don't see what people think is so great about her.

If it wasn't about looks then any decent actress could be cast as Wonder Woman. Why do you think Henry Cavill is Superman? Was he THAT impressive in Immortals? No, he just had the right combination of everything needed for Superman. I'm not saying Alexander is a great actress, I'm saying she's a good actress with the right looks and physicality. Like Chris Hemsworth. Like Henry Cavill.

Really? Have you seen the critical and financial failure called The Last Stand? Or how about the direct to video mess that was Loosies?

Aside from Thor (which she got because she's pretty, competent, tall and cheap) she's unwanted for projects studios take seriously. Track record speaks for itself.

Out of curiosity, who would you recommend Poni Boy?

That's a fair argument, but I think Cavill proved himself to be a very solid actor in other roles too. He was great on The Tudors, and he even made the mess of a film that was Blood Creek watchable (though he had Fassbender helping him).

Anyway, it is true that the look is important, I just don't think you need to sacrifice acting talent for that. When you attempt to do that, you get Superman Returns. Now, I wouldn't say Jaimie is as bad of an actor as Brandon Routh, but I also find her very, very average in terms of talent. I think we can do better.

The only choice out there right now that's viable is Jennifer Lawrence.

But my personal, it will never happen, choice? Hayley Atwell.

Truth is Wonder Woman isn't a viable character nowadays to begin with.

I don't think Lawrence is a possibility either. I agree that she'd be great, but I doubt she'd want to star in a third massive franchise. She'd pretty much have no time to do smaller films.

I didn't say she's be great, just that she's the only truly viable option at this point.

I think Lawrence will be primed and ready for WW, if she wants it of course, since it will be at least two or more years until this project gets off the ground. :p

Because WW isn't a marketable character anymore. If she was they would have green lit her film earlier than the GL one. They have multiple scripts for it collecting dust.

Jennifer Lawrence would bring in the demographics that would skip seeing WW because of uninterest. She's not the only one capable of doing that but she's the only viable one.

All she would have to do is tone up that body of hers and bam!

Never heard of Rebecca Hall before but I don't mind her look at all for WW at all.

And she's 5'9. Her resume seems impressive.

Kind of perfect.

Superman: cavill
Batman:fassbender
Wonder Woman:hall
GL:cooper
Flash:gosling
Aquaman:law
MM:voice of lance reddick or henriksen

A tertiary supporting role with minimal dialogue and a stunt woman doing all of your action in Thor 2 is not "starring" in the context you're trying to imply. There's a HUGE difference between that and playing THE most iconic female superhero of all time. Go watch movies where she says more than two lines.

Alexander isn't what I would call a bad actress, just a mediocre one. Some people are just better off on TV. Damn you ABC Family execs! "shakes fist"

I've seen Thor, Kyle XY and The Last Stand. I'm pretty sure I don't need to see anymore from her to know what I'm talking about. It's like you don't know what opinions are.

She's got range plus she has these intense eyes.

Not only is she tied up with two big franchises, her asking price is through the roof thanks to demand and her Oscar win. If WB is serious about getting JL up and running, I doubt they want to pay her hefty price tag. They'll probably go for an unknown.

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't in a million years think she would want to play the part nor do I think WB is chasing after her.

The original question posed to me was "who would I choose to play WW" and if were the person at WB spearheading a WW film I would do everything humanely possible to land her. She's, in my opinion, the only viable actress who can sell the studio on gambling on a $200+ million WW movie.

What other actress out there right now fits the part close enough, is in action movie shape, has solid chops and can guarantee a huge opening weekend?

Whoa, who said a WW film would have to be $200 million?

Personally I don't think Lawrence can play someone as 'classy' as WW

She's very much an actress of her time/setting. Young American girl of the 2010's.

She even felt out of place in the sixties in First Class to me
