I completely forgot about MEW.

In that case, swap her with Jessica Pare.

Behold!

01. Gina Carano
02. Jaimie Alexander
03. Amber Heard
04. Lynn Collins
05. Alexandra Daddario
06. Gemma Arterton
07. Bridget Regan
08. Hayley Atwell
09. Emily Blunt
10. Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Honorable Mentions:
Cobie Smulders
Olivia Wilde
Christina Hendricks
Rebecca Hall
Jessica Biel

I hear these names (Hall being more recent) brought up for WW A LOT.

There are some good eggs in there, just many people with different ideas on who should be Wonder Woman and how should she look.

Here's a list on the popular choices for WW I've seen on there:

01. Gina Carano
02. Jaimie Alexander
03. Amber Heard
04. Lynn Collins 10
05. Alexandra Daddario
06. Gemma Arterton
07. Bridget Regan
08. Hayley Atwell
09. Emily Blunt
10. Jessica Pare

I created my own scoring system based on age, height, figure (as well as a Lynda Carter test). I looked at 31 different actresses (some of them mentioned on this thread. Here is my rankings of the top 31:

1 Alexandra Daddario
2 Phoebe Tonkin
3 Shelly Hennig
4 Veronica Taylor
5 Amber Heard
6 Gemma Arterton
7 Olivia Wilde
8 Odette Yutsman-Annable
9 Jaimie Alexander
10 Kristanna Loken
11 Adrianne Palicki
12 Julia Voth
13 Nadia Bjorlin
14 Lorena Bernal
15 Emily Blunt
16 Krysten ritter
17 Tanit Phoenix
18 Mary Elizabeth Winstead
19 Kasey Poteet
20 Caroline de Souza Correa
21 Sarah Lancaster
22 Morena Baccarin
23 Adrianne Curry
24 Bridget Regan
25 Jessica Pare
26 Hayley Atwell
27 Gina Carano
28 Kelly Brook
29 Milla Jovovich
30 Tricia Helfer
31 Lynn Collins

Age becomes a factor when the actor is over 30, but you can make up for it with good acting skill, height, and physical appearance. Height became a factor when you were under 5'10" (70 inches). The shorter the actor, the more of a penalty they received (I didn't even consider an actor under 5'7"). An actor got 5 points just for being in a film or TV series and got extra points for being nominated or wining an award for acting (you got a fraction of a point for being nominated). The LC (Lynda Carter) Test was put in there to see how close the actor's looks were to Lynda Carter. If you were not as pretty, you lost points. It was pretty fun compiling the list. Maybe you guys could try your own rating scale and see what you come up with.

I can't... I've never... seen her as the WW type!

Yeah, back in 2007 a lot of folks were pushing for here to be Wonder Woman in the Justice League: Mortal project and were very upset when they chose Megan Gale. Nowadays, nobody says much about here anymore.

I don't know if Winstead is a 6 when it comes to acting... I heard she was really good in 'Smashed'

Plus she was the only good thing in the 'The Thing' prequel. :o

She started out with a 5 and got 1 point (a half a point for winning a Hollywood film award for best ensemble -- it wasn't a whole point because it wasn't an individual award). She got fractions of a point for her nominations. Maybe she should have gotten a 7, but she still would be around 17th or so.

no j-law? mystique or not i like her for the part.

the movie scared the crap outta me and I've never been scared cause of a movie.

You're right, I forgot about her. I also sorted by Height as well. Here is the new list:

Lawrence is very young and a very good actress. Because of those two factors, she becomes a front runner for the role according to my system. At 23, she could easily be featured in 3 Justice League and just as many Wonder Woman pictures before she turns 30.

wow your list sucks how is olviia wilde an 8 in acting she hasn't really been good in anything i have seen her in she was terrible in tron and extremely wooden in cowboys and aliens yet you rate her higher than collins who is a julliard graduate. She was phenomenal in JC and gemma who has given really good performances like in Tamara Drewe,Byzantium, and disappearance of Alice creed and you rate her only 1 point below blunt in acting and same point as in oscar winner in jlaw:huh:

Olivia Wilde won an award for best actress from the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and an award for Rising Star from the Vail Film Festival. She also was nominated for Breakout Actress over several years form the Teen Choice and MTV Movie Awards. I gave her credit (3 extra points) for that. Lynn Collins might be a Julliad graduate, but she has only received 2 nominations. I gave her 1 extra point for that. It was really her age that worked against her (Collins -- she lost 6 points for that). At 36, do you honestly think that the studios would be interested in her playing in multiple films as Wonder Woman? Gemma Atherton has only won 1 award for being a Rising Star but received one less nomination than Olivia Wilde (BTW, "John Carter" was a domestic flop). They both have the same overall score, but Wilde is 1" taller. Even with that, Atherton is 2 points higher than Blunt mostly because of her age.

I hope this list is just a bad joke and not a serious thing to be considered because if so...

I didn't mean it to be a joke. It was just my approach based on scoring realistic factors that would matter if one were looking for an actor in that role. You are certainly welcome to make up your own system and share it here.

I know she has some support behind her for the role, but I was stating personal opinion there. As shauner pointed out, she definitely is more of the MJ type. I'd choose her over Woodley any day!

i don't get an mj type from gale at all i easily saw why they cast her she looked like diana from the comics imo not to mention gale is 5'11 and had that exotic look to her

Rebecca Hall:
height: 5'9"
age:30
acting: 8 (see the prestige, vicky christina barcelona(nominated for a golden globe), the town, frost/nixon, iron man 3)
relatively unknown to the masses, english, has worked with the nolans and bale. why she's not on the list is ridiculous.

i love hall but for reason she just seems more of the love interest type she is basically like Michelle Monaghan

Did someone say Carol Ferris. :awesome:

:o

I think there wouldn't be too many complaints if she was chosen for either character.

IMDb is listing her height at 5'10". I'd agree that she is an 8 as an actress. On my scale she might come out as a -5 and be ranked somewhere in the top 20.

It just occurred to me...this list back in 2008 (around when JL:M was in production) would probably have had Megan Gale as number one on the list- well close to it anyway.

So, you can take solace in the fact that at least WB and you think alike!

Though I dunno if that's a good thing or not!:o
