Inception

I just watched it again, its been some time since my original viewing. During this viewing I fully understood the concept and was able to follow it way more clearly. Picked up on so much more than my last viewing some time ago.

Anyway, after this viewing, it is now my opinion that this is the best movie ever made. Its my new #1 favorite film of all time. :wow:

Just went through the fantastic Alan Clarke boxset the last couple of nights.

Potentially two:

The Master

I haven't cracked it yet. I need to see it again. I have a feeling this is a film that will reveal itself with multiple viewings. As of now, I don't quite have a grasp on it. But Jesus, the acting? Astonishing. Absolutely astonishing. Freddie Quell is such a singular character. It has the makings of one of the greats. He's pathetic, he's opaque, he's scary, and yet he engenders empathy. It reminds me of Travis Bickle: sharp, original writing, combined with a performance for the books, directed beautifully, resulting in an ugly person you still care about.

Killer Joe

Go for broke madness that is equal measures repellant and hilarious, and all of it rooted in sharply drawn characters and fearless performances. This is one I'm going to share with people. I want to know if others are going to laugh in the same places I did. If they don't, I may need to seek professional help.

What did you like about it? I thought Denzel really made the movie. The movie was slow at times and with a lesser actor would not really have been worth watching. I loved it because I struggle with addiction if I didn't I probably would have said the movie was average but since I do it was great and one of my favorites

The Duelists. Ridley Scott's second best after Alien.

Inception was on TV last night, first time seeing it since it came out. First time it left me cold, this time... Loved it.
