The Loki Thread

That would be kind of weird. I don't think I'd mind, though. Depends on how they play it.

I`m not sure how to judge Josh Harnett`s acting abilities but it doesn`t really matter. With Brannagh directing Paris Hilton could be made to act on the same level as an oscar winner.
Since you mentioned it, can anyone tell me if Keanu Reeves was any good in "Much Ado About Nothing"? I haven't seen it, but I imagine it might tell us something about Brannagh's ability to bring the out best in his actors. Anyway, I'm hoping for the best, but I can't say I particularly like the idea of Hartnett as Loki. Maybe he'll surprise me, but I would prefer someone else.

Keanu Reeves is not good in anything....and Josh Hartnett is at almost the same level as the "Whoah" machine himself. The latest rumour mill has Harnett up for Thor, not Loki. That makes more sense to me as he was up for Superman and passed on it. Another good choice for Loki could be Crispin Glover, although he is even older than my first choice of Vincent Cassell.

Crispin Glover, Adrien Brody, and Tom Hardy are my current favorites for Loki. Any of those three would physically embody Loki perfectly and all of them are great actors.

I definitely rather have Hartnett as Loki and not Thor. But in all...I would rather have someone else than him...I pass on almost every movie he's in but somehow end up seeing it. Never is good...never is really bad but doesn't have a performance that would make a fan proud he was cast.

I actually quite like Hartnett as an actor, but I'm not seeing him as Loki. (Or Thor)

I'm not jumping on you but what did you like him in...maybe something I haven't seen...

I've only liked him in Lucky Number Slevin

I don't think I've liked him in literally anything he's done. How about gems like Hollywood Homicide? Pearl Harbor? Halloween H20?

40 Days and 40 Nights. He wasn't terrible in that, but it was a pretty stupid movie.

Yeah but he just plays Josh Hartnett in that, just like IMO he plays Josh Hartnett in every single film he's ever done.

The Faculty (1998) I'll give him a little credit.
Black Hawk Down I like him in this. (2001)
Sin City (2005) A two minute blip of his character "The Man". Cool character, just not enough to credit him for it.
Lucky Number Slevin (2006) It was more the movies twists and plot than his performance.

Wicker Park (name? spelling?) was pretty much the only movie where he was interesting in/multi-dimensional but it was more Rose Byrne than him. The movie was interesting but not something I'll see again. Last act sucked but the story was okay.

Yup, most definitely. Which is fine, I like the Josh Hartnett character, haha. Just not when he's required to play someone else :csad:

that is NOT FUN. my friends and i tried it for real, like we stashed all our porn in trashbags (external Hds included) then the winner would get all of it. i got 2nd place, but towards the end, all of us had MAD pms (or whatever the male version is)

zachary quintos ftw...i always thought he had alittle loki vibe going on as sylar

Interesting suggestion. His stock will probably go up after Star Trek comes out too.

He'd be a "name" casting that I'd be okay with. In spite of how ridiculous Sylar's become, Quintos is still giving good performances.
