Good point about HEROES. I think that the problem is today they tend to cancel shows that don't get blockbuster ratings out of the gate immediately, especially if they are high concept shows or ones that require lots of cash for quality production values or it's a combo or both AND the show's characters are "challenging" to the audience, not being archetypes or Mary Sues. This thing where two episodes in a show get's cancelled is ridiculous. Give these things a chance to grow a bit I say.
Agreed, that's certainly the problem with the networks, but I think the overall situation's actually improving with the advent of streaming and the "binge-watching" model. Like I said, HBO and Netflix shows (along with other premium/streaming fare) are often the slow-burn types, but they're at a much smaller risk of cancellation because viewers come to them ready to take the plunge (or binge, haha).

Heroes is one of the dullest TV shows I tried to sit through.
Hiro is the only thing I enjoyed in that show.

I would say that were true later episodes but it cruised along well at the start. The doling out of info made for slow goings but I really liked the characters... But those brothers should have died at the end of the first season and Sylar should have had a nice death somewhere in season two.

Heroes only ever produced one truly great episode, imo, and that was "Company Man." When Bryan Fuller left, so did any chance that show had of being a quality series, because Tim Kring is a terrible writer/showrunner, imo, and Fuller was the one great talent they had on their staff.

@flickchick, I always wondered, but never asked, who is the lady in your avatar, and from what show?

It's a good comedy... But let's not lose our minds. Nothing is "the greatest _____".

I kid. It's Lucille Bluth from Arrested Development. And contrary to KRYPTON's claims, it is in fact the greatest show ever made. :oldrazz:

As right you should!

Watching Blade Runner last night has me pumped for the sequel man. With the technology nowadays we could get an awesome picture of that world.

Is there any word who might play the leading role?
No comment on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, I still have zero desire to watch it.
Fear of repurcussions, Aziz? :sly::sly:

Alphas>Heroes by a long shot.
Burn Notice>Arrested Development

Hell the real Arrested Development was a hip hop group in the 90s. /old black man

Repercussion of what?
Not interested in the organization.

Oh you know, you can´t dislike a show or movie that´s deemed "popular" here, because heaven forbid, you´ll be going against the staus quo here. :o

Arrested Development is one of the best comedies of all time. If you realize how intricate and subversive some of the jokes are in that show and the time it took to put them in there when 99% of people missed them you would realize how great it is. They have been featured in several Cracked articles about it.

Agents of SHIELD is awesome and if you are a supposed Marvel fan and not watching it then you're missing out on some of the best comic book tv. Season 2 will be up on Netflix soon if it isn't already and I highly advise you give it a binge watch since it's really damn good.
