I'm fine with auburn. That is a dark red anyway, and is my preferred shade for MJ rather than something which is more ginger or strawberry blonde. If she has a few redder highlights, that's fine. But not a bright red like a cosplayer.

Nothing like Spidey's red color :hehe:

Just subtle streaks that present a different flavour to plain auburn. Something to spice up a more modern and youthful fashion sense.

I understand what both Rodrigo and DR are saying and agree with both of you and I think a solution to the problem might be to have the best of both worlds. Perhaps something trendy like this

But still natural at the roots like this.

So something like this basically:

This would be my preferred colour for MJ. It doesn't look like a 40 year old trying to hold back the years at all but looks young and striking.

That's pretty much what I envision, particularly the top pic

Yeah that would be the base color for the ombre thing and just lightin the ends ever so slightly. But yes I agree. That girl looks like the color I've always envisioned.

That's because of the face that's under that hair.

No because Emma Stone can make that same hair color look vibrant and cool

so it just depends on the person under the hair as DR pointed out.

Exactly. There are plenty of pretty girls who would look great with that hair colour. Equally, there are plenty of plain girls for whom the other red streaky hair would still not make them any more attractive.

It's still too dull for my taste.

Even with Woodley, Mary-Jane has never had hair that lifeless before.

But, I guess it's no worse than that pukey colour from SM2.

I want a nice more natural shade of red but is a red shade not anything like Dunst or Woodley had. Now if we got a natural red head great. But all I want is a hood shade if red and something that doesn't look to crazy or non red.

They should look for someone who doesn't have very pale skin but more of a tanned colour. Natural red heads or gingers have very pale skin that doesn't look that great and can be more prone to ageing. But those with darker, more auburn hair can sometimes have a different complexion. Their hair tends to be closer to a reddish brown.

I think they should look for someone who isn't a natural red head, but isn't a blonde with pale skin either. Either a brunette or a blonde with more golden skin would be more ideal.

Soo... a young Famke Janssen?

This sort of style makes me think of horses or dogs. I don't mind subtle highlights, but in general I like hair to look consistent.

Yeah she does look like she has a dog wig on.

I don't remember what Famke's hair was like in the first X-Men.

That's Amy Manson (as Merida) in Once Upon a Time.

That's why I said I didn't want it to look like that but more natural that was just an example of the gradient hair look....

Also here is Famke's hair dyed red.

Actually exactly the same coloring of hair and skin tone I want.
This red hair or bust. :o
