harry all i was getting at we dont know what they are doing for the supporting folks and again your all huffy that a 20 yr old actress looks 20 if she was picked to play 15 or 16 it isnt as bad as 25 to 30 yr olds of the past playing 15 or 16. Some folks could end up being played by a little older then tom is. And again like i brought up different makeup and hair style can fudge with how old someone looks. You are so worried a slightly 20s actor couldnt be playing a 15 yr old. I guess you want some pre teen actress then for all the teen female roles.

If they get a 22 year old actress for MJ, then by the time Holland is in his mid to late 20s, she would be in her early 30s. And in Hollywood, younger actresses are usually cast as the love interest to an older male - eg Jennifer Lawrence to Bradley Cooper. Even Emma Watson is heading that way. So getting someone that old for MJ or Gwen would make her way too old by the time Peter is out of high school.

They will have to get someone younger in order to look age appropriate to Holland later on.

i dont see that as a problem if the actress doesnt already look to old looking. Again the whle looks thing is subjective. As there is many who are younger but look older and older who look younger. Again its about what marvel and sony want and what type a role any of the female teen leads we may get are in the film.

No I don't want any pre-teens. I'm just saying that MJ will most likely be in Tom's age range. It only makes sense.

Nobody wants a pre-teen. 14-to-20 was the age limit/range for Peter. So i'm expecting similar for MJ 17-20

harry what i was getting at yes we are likely to see 18-20/22 for the rest of the midtown guys. All i was getting at your where so worried if they went with a 20 to 22 range for any of the ladies it sounds like your to worried they look 20s and couldnt pull off teen look. When still we have no clue who going to test for what female supporting and let alone how said character will look. Again its not going to be like past with a 30 yr old playing a teen if someone is only 4-6 yrs older like tom will be 5 yrs older come solo film isnt really a problem. Unless said actor really looks older then they are.

She'll still be 20 when they shoot..she just turned 20 in November and they'll start shooting in about 6 months.

When teenagers, girls often look more mature than boys. I have no idea what kind of girl they could've cast against Lintz who would look right. And Lintz would've looked like a little boy. You couldn't even call him Spider-Boy though, because that sounds more like a cute way of just saying someone is young, but could still be an older teenager, kind of like Supergirl. Lintz would've had to have been called Spider-Child.

I don't have a problem with an 18-20 year-old playing MJ or Gwen, Tom is a 19 year-old, my number one choice is a 20 year-old! how many times do I have to clarify that? What i'm saying is that actress has to look young enough to match Holland, and whether you like or not, age Is going to come into play, and she's not to be played by someone who Is the same age as Dylan O'Brien when that's the age-range that Marvel was trying to avoid in the first place with the Peter Parker casting.

Though just to leave something more on the table, having finally watched Goosebumps, I reiterate my support for Miss Rush.

Plus looks of teens now compared to when I was a teen 15 yrs ago are totally different bqck when I was a teen folks didn't look more adult. Where as nowadays person could be 14 yrs old and you swear they are 21 or something. Looks and times have changed.

And Rush was horrible in Goosebumps. She was easily the worst actor in that movie. She has a ways to go

Well, I was just watching the Fosters 15 minutes ago, Katherine Mcnamara was in it. And tbh, she looked really young... Maybe her makeup makes her look older. Also, I think she would make a perf Sally Avril.

And I don't think Rush was horrible in Goosebumps, just really mediocre.


Oh, and I still really want Liana Liberato to get the role. She's a great actress, her real-life personality is very much like MJ, she's only 20 so she still in Tom's age range, she looks really young (matches up with Holland really well), AND- to top it all off, she's really gorgeous. She's perfect.
