Oh God, Letterman bit*h slap:wow:

Not good enough. Letterman should have called McCain on his "bomb more" lie... and his "hasn't cleared up the relationship" lie...

Letterman should have allowed called his lie about repudiating every thing that was said about Obama...

And the fake outrage at Lewis' calling a lynch mob... A LYNCH MOB.

But at least he gave the line that made it all seem silly, "Ayers was 29 and Obama was 8, they were pallin' around!"

I leave, then come back to find that Excel is on a probationary ban??? What have I missed?
WHAT???

It's that Humping McCain!
Oh, That would do it.:csad:

Sorry Excel, You kinda have me to thank for that.

I thought Letterman's comments about G. Gordon Libby were pretty damning, they certainly shut McCain up for a moment.

When McCain brought up Todd Palin I wish Dave had asked about his connections to the secessionist party. :csad:

Hell I wish somebody, Anybody would ask McCain about it. :whatever:

lazur was placed on probationary ban too. :wow:
ya, I have no problem with people who disagree with me. However, he did seem like a troll.Oh well, maybe he might be calmer when he comes back, hopefully.

I have to admit, McCain was pretty funny tonight. I enjoyed Obama's performance a little more, but mostly because he made a Superman reference.

Right now I'm more of a Batman fan myself. :o :cwink: (excuse the username)

:wow: indeed.

I would post my feelings on this stunning development, but I believe Rush Limbaugh can convey my feelings more than I ever could put in words:

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm more of a Batman fan myself, but I love Superman as well. This is the second time I've seen Obama show some love for Superman. I'm starting to wonder if he's a closet comicbook geek.

Anyone watching Letterman?

McCain is lying again and playing the victim again...

I watched it out of curiosity. John McCain didn't disappoint. He defended the tone of his rallies. He complained about a lack of apology for Lewis' comments. And to top it all off - he pulled his childish 'if Obama had agreed to do the town halls like I asked him to, none of this would have happened' bull****.

Seriously... if only Letterman had some printouts of the facts in front of him. He would be so surprised to see McCain doing talking points and lying ON LETTERMAN!!!

Aren't they supposed to be friends?

Making comparisons between Superman and himself hardly qualify for Comic Book Geekdome.

Now if he starts referencing Booster Gold or Bobo the Detective Chimp - then he displays true knowledge of the subject.

Also - Obama is very lucky the dinner last night was irrelevant, McCain blew him away.

McCain did a wonderful job at the dinner tonight.

100% in agreement here

McCain is just good at telling Mean spirited Jokes. I loved the last part where he basically set the standard bar high for Obama. The thing that got to me was that Obama reused some Daily Show jokes (the legitimate Black Baby Joke is one that comes to mind). To be honest, Obama Bombed and pretty much was receiving pity applauses although he did have a couple of good joke but he some how managed to run them into the ground.

Obama is just not a good speaker when he is forced away from a teleprompter.

He stutters and "ums" and "aws" as much as any Presidential candidate we have had recently - not to mention prone to his own gaffes (57 states, mistaking the accomplishments of his grandfather, etc.). He is not the beacon of charisma, the Great Communicator, that people make him out to be.

I give both of them C+. They had alot of mediocrity sandwiched in between some zingers. McCain spent most of his time pooping on MSNBC and Obama made fun of his blackness which no one else could.

Both major mehs.

McCain knows how to lose conservative voters (or pissed them off), he seems to like the Clintons a lot. :hehe:

David Letterman interview:

"In all due respect, one of the people I admired most was an obscure governor of a southern state called Arkansas and he turned out to be a fairly successful president," McCain said, complimenting Bill Clinton.

Lets be fair, at least the guy is decent enough to give recognition when is due and admits he screwed up to Letterman, not that many politicians do that, bravo McCain.
