It wasn't said at a rally, but why does the venue matter here? Its not as if "terrorist" and "kill him" are anything more than the shouts of the occasional nut at a rally. Both sides have their diehard supporters that have crossed the line.

With all due respect Norm, a majority of a crowd yelling 'terrorist' when McCain asked 'Who is the real Barack Obama' at a rally back when all this nonsense started is not just one or two nuts.

So that makes people screaming "Kill Him" at Obama's direction during McCain rallies okay?

I think both of those things are wrong and both should be denounced by both of the campaigns.

Did I ever say it was "okay"? EVER. AT ALL.

Your jumps in logic are beyond ridiculous.

I'll see if I can find it. It was at the start of 'the craziness' (as I like to refer to it.) The video has been posted here before. It's the one where McCain has a strange look on his face. It's one of the first times he asked the question at a rally.

It matters because it's part of the question I asked. McCain has said many times that similar things have been said at Obama's rallies. I want to know what exactly he's talking about.

If you can't answer the question, Fine, But please don't try to spin this into something else. I'm not letting you change the subject again.

I find you using "Well at Obama's rallies..." as a defense everytime someone brings up the "Terrorist" and "Kill Him" shouts, to be pretty ridiculous as well. Why do you keep using it?

Now this isn't my opinion on that but I have heard that, the offer was given to all the POWs so that doesn't make McCain anymore special than the other POWs in that camp that decided to stay also.

Yes - but more acccurately, the offer of freedom had an "earmark" of sorts:

In the company of his fellow POWs, and later in isolation, McCain slowly and miserably recovered from his wounds. In June 1968, after three months in solitary, he was offered what he calls early release. In the official McCain narrative, this was the ultimate test of mettle. He could have come home, but keeping faith with his fellow POWs, he chose to remain imprisoned in Hanoi.

What McCain glosses over is that accepting early release would have required him to make disloyal statements that would have violated the military's Code of Conduct. If he had done so, he could have risked court-martial and an ignominious end to his military career. "Many of us were given this offer," according to Butler, McCain's classmate who was also taken prisoner. "It meant speaking out against your country and lying about your treatment to the press. You had to 'admit' that the U.S. was criminal and that our treatment was 'lenient and humane.' So I, like numerous others, refused the offer."

Has anyone seen McCain's latest gaffe? He was trying to disagree with Obama supporter Representative Jack Murtha who said that Western Pennsylvania is racist. But he totally screwed the pooch and said, "I couldn't agree with them MORE!" LOL. Check it out:

It wasn't said at a rally, but why does the venue matter here?

There's a major difference from the frenzy McCain/Palin have whipped their political base, and shock comedians (if you can call Sandra a comedian, never found her remotely funny) saying whatever.

McCain and Palin started all the "Who is Barack Obama?", "Palling with terrorists", "Why won't Obama say he wants America to win?", "Obama sees America as imperfect" stuff that has got their supporters to go nuts and shout, "Kill him", "Terrorist!", and "I'm afraid of Obama, he's an Arab".

Obama did not stir John Stewart to the point of saying, "F$&% you" to Sarah Palin, or drive Sandra Bernhardt to say what she said. They are entertainers trying to shock, or get a rise or laugh out of ppl. Inappropriate yes, but comedians have attacked political figures for years, but I don't actually think Stewart will shoot McCain, but I do fear for Obama's safety from a McCain rally nut.

BTW, yes, both sides have crazies.

That's the hardest I've laughed at a gaffe for awhile. Bravo McCain, bravo.

"Senator Obama's supporters have been saying some nasty things about Western Pensylvania, and I.....couldn't agree with them MORE!!! I couldn't disagree with you, agree with you...."

LOL.

The only thing that could have made that better was after the, "I couldn't agree with them more", for McCain to give a one finger salute and walk off the stage. It was that good of an unintentional set up.

LMAO! She went from having this self-righteous look on her face, nodding in agreement to practically cracking her own molars from clenching her teeth. And the people in the background...hahaha! That whole crowd was standing there going "WTF!?". LOL! And McCain just made it worse the more he tried to talk his way out of it until he finally got exasperated and says "...uh...Western Pennsylvania is the most patriotic, God Loving...blah, blah, blah..." He got a few cheers back in the mix after that. When in doubt, fall back on the classics, right John? :funny:

Find me a single example where I said this.

A single example.

But you act as if the extremely offensive comments in regards to Sarah Palin are exclusive to comedians.

I would link you to the Sarah Palin Thread.
