The morality of sex: whats right and whats wrong?

It's FAR more disturbing, and it's about a mass public figure also, so I can't really say, let's just say, Bryan Singer, wrap party for X2. I know someone who was at the party, and the story is not a nice one, but if I post it here, I could get done for slander, even though it's true:(

Fascinating. :)

when there's a self lubricating hole anal seems pointless.

As long as there is consent from all the involved parties you can do whatever the hell you want to as far as I'm concerned. I might find some of it "icky" but that's not really relevant.

My feeling: As long as it's not rape of pedophelia, then I really don't care what you do.

I'm tempted to bring out a chalkboard for a lesson in anatomy.

I think that anything other than anal sex between two men is deplorable and unnatural.
So you're sickened by platonic relationships? :D

Whatever goes on behind closed doors between two (or sometimes more) consenting adults is no one else's business. As long as no one is getting hurt (unless they like that sort of thing), I just don't see why it should matter to anyone else. Can anyone here, honestly tell me how someone else's private sex life effects YOU personally? I myself can't. Do I agree with some of the things other people do? No, but it's not my place to tell them what they can and cannot do.

Sure it is. I burst into peoples rooms with a hose like when you are trying to stop dogs from mating.

I'm really not interested in more prattling about what was "meant for" which purposes as comfort to people with small imaginations, no stomach for real life, precious little free will and far too much dependence on what their parents or minister told them was moral.

No one will ever even begin to convince me that a pleasurable act, when not hurting anyone against their will or endangering somebody, is wrong. Certainly not because a lot of people think it's "icky." People really need to grow up.

And I really need to find a woman who'll take it in the ass. It's been far too long. :(

If that's not the title of a personal I don't know what is.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't encourage certain behaviours. I mean, the world is experiencing an epidemic of sexually-transmitted diseases. Now why do you think that is? Oh yeah - promiscuous sex. People are getting AIDS and hepetitis and all sorts of things they could have avoided by sticking with one partner.

Old Erzy here likes it up the tail pipe as i've heard from a few sources.:o :whatever:

"unprotected sex"

Birth control and protection aren't 100% effective.
Yeah but the use of protection greatly decreases the chance of contracting a STD.

As do monogamy and abstinence.

Monogamy doesn't = safe if someone isn't honest about their past.

AnimeJune, how many partners is too many? When is it considered promiscuous? Do you believe it's reasonable to expect people to choose one sexual partner? Don't get me wrong, I've only had two partners, but what's good for me isn't good for everyone else.

The problem isn't promiscuous sex, per se, but people's attitudes about sex. Like Erz said, as long as all parties are honest and responsible, there isn't a problem. I think the vast majority of people who get an STD either didn't know their partner had one or they did know and didn't protect themselves properly.

You have a excellent point, but then, the concept of "good" is relative. I mean, just because you want something, doesn't mean you're entitled to have it. I'm sure there are lots of people who want to have crazy sex all the time with all sorts of people, it's adventurous, it's cool, etc, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

no, [ben kingsley in "sexy beast"] NONONONONONONONONONONO [/ben kingsley in "sexy beast"]

that's from unprotected sex, promiscuous or not. some people have one partner who, before them slept with a single person he/she trusted and got something from them, then transmits it to their current partner.

so, yeah......no

Keeping one's number of sexual partners down is a big way to keep the spread of disease (and babies) down, I agree. I'm all for discouraging promiscuity, while not falling into the trap of ignorance that is "abstinence only education," which is itself immoral on every level.

I'd have no moral objection to promiscuous behavior if it weren't for the constant suspicion that these people aren't being as safe as they should be.

It's a scientific fact that men are biologically programmed to go out and spread their seed amongst many women (which is in no way an acceptable excuse for cheating on a lover, and to hell with anyone who thinks it is), but that doesn't mean the seed needs to actually be planted. We're smart enough to keep nature's impulses under control one way or another, so that's what we should do, whether it's keeping it in your pants or keeping it wrapped up when not in one's pants.
