That doesn't mean we shouldn't encourage certain behaviours. I mean, the world is experiencing an epidemic of sexually-transmitted diseases. Now why do you think that is? Oh yeah - promiscuous sex. People are getting AIDS and hepetitis and all sorts of things they could have avoided by sticking with one partner.

So you would have it where every person could legaly only have one partner, ever?? You are right that promiscuity is a problem, but sex between responsible consenting adults is not something that the government should have control over. Rather, young people should be educated so they can make better decisions.
Also, allowing and encouraging are two different things. Giving someone the right to bear arms does not necessarily encourage them to own guns. I don't own a gun, but it's nice to know the government won't stop me if I decided to get one.

Anyway, I'm not saying the government should control sex, at all, and I'm not saying that people should have only one partner for the rest of their lives. I'm saying society as a whole should be discouraging promiscuity, and encouraging monogamous relationships, because it's safer.

And like I said - two consenting, monogamous people can do whatever they want. Position doesn't really matter, quite frankly. Unless you're like one of those weird people in the urban myths who go to their doctor wondering why after all the sex they've been having, they haven't gotten pregnant yet, and the doc has to tell them "WRONG HOLE, NUMBNUTS! READ A GODDAMN BOOK!"

Sex is not overrated - I think it's been underrated lately. People saying "It's just a reaction between two people", are people I disagree with. Sex is sacred - it shouldn't be thrown away recklessly.
