Well, as long as Rob Zombie's Halloween and the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street exist, it's certainly not the worst.
Remember those days in the '00s when we were bombarded with constant horror remakes? I think TCM was the one that actually kickstarted the popularity of those because it made back like 10x its budget. I remember I was actually impressed by the Hills Have Eyes remake and I have a soft spot for the Friday the 13th remake just because of how much stupid fun it was to watch in a packed theater.
