The New and Improved "Heroes vs. Villains: Marvel" RPG

"I sure hope so." Iceman says as the chopper touches down at the X-Mansion.

Iceman runs into the med lab carrying Deadpool, to see Professor Xavier in there with Jean's lifeless body on a table.

"Professor, Deadpool is hurt bad, he usually recovers by now. Can you sense anything form him?"

"His mind is very far away, and is fighting a terrible battle.. it seems that our friend Wade is in a coma." Xavier says.

"A coma, I was too late then."

"Place him on the third table over there, and hook him up to the Shi'ar brian moniter." Xavier says." We will watch his progress here at the mansion and hope that one day, he wakes up form this horrible coma..."

"I hope you wake up one day Deadpool, you made a nice hero, weather you want to admit it or not."

Iceman walks out of the mad lab and tells Psylock the bad news.

After hearing what Bobby told her about Deadpool, Psylocke sits down and begins to shed a few tears w/o making a cry

The Thing stood on the roof of the Baxter Building. Leaning against the railing, he looked out on New York City.

The world, and especially this city, had been through a lot in the last four or five days. Not one, but two major supervillians had threatened the safety and security of the world in that time. Two "doctors" had put the entire globe in jeopardy.

And, as they usually do, the good guys came to the rescue. It had taken a collective effort of the world's governments and heroes, and more action than had been seen in such a short span in ages, but the threats had been neutralized. Even still, at this moment, some laboured against their foes. Heroes abroad and at home, "fighting the good fight". And an international army of battle droids still beat back a now-floundering Latverian force.

That's why Ben Grimm now rested. He knew that this battle, this war that had engulfed the world in such a unique way, was now coming to an end...it was only a matter of time.

Although Ben always welcomed the action/adventure that was his day-to-day life, he relished the relative calm.

He slowly turned his massive frame around...staring blankly at the empty rooftop. Ben missed his family, but he had just received word a few hours ago from Reed and Sue...they had been indefinitely delayed off-planet. In a way, he didn't mind...he could use the peace and quiet. He just hoped it wouldn't be too long.

Turning back to the city before him, Grimm sighed. He knew it wasn't over...it was just a matter of time before another crazy crawled out of the woodwork and threatened innocent lives.

But, for now...The Thing could rest.

OOC: I guess, this is my way of saying, "I quit, too."

Just kidding...I'm just gonna keep The Thing here until everything is figured out with funerals/season's end and all that. Or, of course, if someone comes to interact with him.

OOC: Remember, we're wrapping up story arcs here, and we'll end it with the funeral of Jean Grey...

and Keyser Kingpin, there's no one else I'd rather have, other than kang, to play Doom... so bunny away... temporarily, at least...

OOC: My friend RoseRedStrauss wants to play Juggernaut... so finally, it'll be me, Sabretooth, and Juggernaut as the Brotherhood of Evil in Season II. Rock on!

OOC: In this post, the end of Deadpool. 'NUFF SAID!

*Dark and cold. That's the way Deadpool has felt all his life. He had joined the Weapon X project to help him beat cancer, and beat it he did. He was never the best person in the world. He killed his adopted parents and almost beat and stabbed his girlfriend to death. He was the world's biggest cynic and covered his pain and doubt with witty banter.

One day he met a woman that changed all of that. her name was Teresa Cassady, Siryn. She had hopes for Wade. She saw the inner goodness inhim and knew that he could eventually be a hero. Wade didn't think so, but he always wanted to prove her right.

He got the opportunity when his boss, Dr. Doom, decided to take over the world. Believing that this wasn't right Wade went to stop him. During his battles he fought many people including Taskmaster which was a battle he would never forget. He went up against gods and giants and was finally taken down by a thug named Sabertooth.

Before he slipped into a coma Wade hoped that this was it. That he was finally going to die. he wanted to leave this world as a hero for he feared if he was to wake up it wouldn't take long for old habits to start up again. He knew two things. One, if he wakes up, Sabertooth is as good as dead. Two, if he dies, then he has spent his final hours being what he always wanted to be... a hero.*

OOC: I know that's kind of a sappy ending for Deadpool, but I thhink it's fitting. Someone can pick him up from here in season two. I'll be starting a new character at Jean's funeral...if it's okay with Bats. It's been fun so far and I look foward to the next season.

OOC: cool we finally got a juggernaut! Its a good ending Preist, though I hope you go back to being him, you played a great Deadpool and it was fun fighting you. :)

OOC: Jeez, alot has changed. Sorry guys, for not posting lately, I've been busy with school, and concocting my Superman story in the DC thread. Let's just say Doc Strange retired to his Sanctum Sanctorum after Banner disabled the spores. I'm looking forward to Season II, but I'm not entirely sure of what to do with Strange at the moment. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

OOC: Keep the Season goin, we need to work towards Jean's funeral... and everyone is allowed to change characters for Season II, which is coming soon...

OOC: I didnt quit by the way. I am planning a big thing for the funeral. An explosive event indeed.

~2 DAYS UNTIL REBIRTH CHARLES.~

OOC: ElectroFlare, can you possibly hold off on this fight to see what's happening with the RPG? I'm not sure if we will be stopping this Season soon. I was thinking of ending this season by turning up at Mary-Jane's funeral. Then we could continue our feud in the next season. And is it okay if I bunny Doom here? Kang asked me to bunny him, and I think he'd rather be bunnied by me than left to get his ass kicked...

Dr Doom was stunned by the flurry of punches from Captain America. he wasn't quite 100% yet after his encounter with the accursed Asgardian, Thor. But Doom was not a man who would just lie down and let himself be beaten.

Doom finally managed to grab one of Captain America's fists, clamping down on the Captain's hand with a vice-like grip. Doom pulled Captain America in close to him.

"You Americans...always marching into other people's territory. Well, now you are in the homeland of Victor Von Doom. And I do not react kindly to trespassers!"

Doom punched Captain America in the stomach, sending him flying back across the room.

OOC: if anyone objects to this, I'll delete it. but kang asked to be bunnied until his computer gets fixed, and I feel having him put up a fight would be better htan just letting him get completely wiped out.

Daredevil followed the sounds and finally reached Cap & Doom. He heard Doom hitting cap and with that Daredevil broke through the ventalation grate. Daredevil landed behind Doom and throw his Billuclub cable around Doom's ankles and pulled. When he heard Doom hit the floor Daredevil said, "All-Right Doom game's over. Answer one question...Ock and his crew where did they go? "

OOC: Since I feel I'm so lost at were to place myself RPG-wise I'm just going to say Photon spent her time in this game looking for and destroying the rest of the spores on the planet. Thus every once in a while someone would see a bright flash near them as she destroys one near by.

Quicksilver had finally managed to get some fitful rest. Visions of Jean, Sentinels, and his father filled his dreams. He wanted to speak to Professor Xavier, yet needed to work through his grief privately. He reflected back on his own life, looking back on what and who he was. Searching for answers and finding only more questions.

Pietro was never one to share his true feelings with others. He knew how people took his poor social skills and abruptness, but the truth was that he was just never quite comfortable enough with himself and his emotions to properly express either. It had cost him in his life, however.

Pietro always felt haunted. He and his twin sister had been raised during early childhood by wandering gypsies. They were not his true parents, and while he had feelings for them, he knew they were not of his blood. After their deaths, the two children had been raised near Wundagore Mountain by a cow-woman named Magda that was a genetically engineered creature made by the High Evolutionary. It was during this time that the mutant abilities of Pietro and Wanda had surfaced, and they learned to use their abilities in the secluded region near Wundagore.Magda had cared well for the children, but was eventually slain by Mordred the evil mystic. Again, the siblings were alone with no true idea of their pasts. Then, the two lost teen-aged siblings had wandered the Earth in search of direction.

It was when he and Wanda were nearly 20 years of age that they had met and joined with Magneto, and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Magneto had praised the two youths and given them preferential treatment over the rest of the Brotherhood. Pietro was happy to be so accepted. Wanda, however, soon began to have misgivings about wiping out homo sapiens to allow homo superior to flourish. They had met, and fought, other mutants that had a more open view about co-existence among humans and mutants. And so, she decided to leave Magneto and his brood. Wanda was the only constant throughout Pietro's young life, so he followed with her.

The two then became heroes. They joined the Mighty Avengers and stayed busy defending the planet against whatever threatened it. Wanda seemed happy, so Pietro stayed and did his part. He had to protect his sister. It was through the Avengers that Wanda had met and married her former husband. An android, the Vision. His sister married a 'thing' that was incapable of emotion. A thing very much like the man that Pietro had grown to become. Cold and seemingly uncaring.

A few short years later, the two had learned of their true relationship to Magneto. It was a shock for both. Reasons, lies, and tragedy surrounded the true story of their lineage...but it was true. Magneto was their father. They tried to love him. He tried to gain their acceptance. In the end, it mattered not. Magneto's hungers outweighed any paternal instincts he may once have had. Both siblings realized that their father would never be able to love them as a parent should. And Pietro felt lost once more.

He married, in an attempt to make his own family. To feel that true bond he had never felt. Beautiful Crystal. An Inhuman. Together they had a child. Born completely human. No special abilities. No ability to save her own life when it mattered. Life had been good for too short a time. The marriage disintegrated after the death of their child.

Ever since, Pietro had been running. As always.

He went down to the Danger Room. He had some things to work out...the only way he knew how.

He ran.

Doom turned round to face the lowly scoundrel who had dared to knock Doom off his feet. He laughed spitefully.

"Fool!", spat Doom, "Doom has no interest in where his minions have chosen to flee. And neither should you. You will not live long enough to pursue them!"

With that, Doom fired a laser blast from his glove, aiming for Daredevil.

OOC:Sure, KK we can hold off our fight until the funeral or beyond...I just need a reason for Spider-man to stop hunting you...

Meanwhile, in The White Tiger, a sleazy strip-joint in New York City, Bullseye woke up to face a new day. This was the first time in several days that he hadn't seen the new day begin while sat in a chopper. No, he was beginning this day in bed, and he wasn't alone. Nancy and Gail, two of the workers at The White Tiger, were lying in bed with him.

Nancy was still asleep, but Gail was awake, smoking a cigarette. Upon seeing that Bullseye was awake, she pulled on her clothes and walked towards the door. She obviously wanted something, or she would have left by now.

Bullseye smiled, taking out a roll of notes. He sent them sailing slowly through the air, targeting them so they landed softly in Gail's hand. She winked at Bullseye, and left.

Bullseye turned round so that he was facing Nancy. he stroked her red hair - it had been important that he find a redhead. He leant in closer to her, smelling her hair. Bullseye closed his eyes, whispering under his breath.

"Oh, Mary-Jane, we're together again at last..."

I've got an idea...plan your wife's funeral.:D

OOC: ElectroFlare, keep on hunting me by all means, just make it that you're unable to find me. I want to show up at the funeral, and if you find me before hten, I'm somehow guessing I won't be in any condition to show up. But I'm enjoying our feud, and I want to continue building it. i just don't want to come to the payoff just yet. I think it would be good to build more tension...

The Fantasticar landed on a small airfield in Long Island. Banner, climbed out, the whole while gently refusing the Torch's offer to fly him into the city. While the Baxter building did have a landing pad, Banner had no desire to bump into a certain member of the Fantastic Four that might be there. While the Thing was a teammate of the Torch, with whom Banner was currently enjoying a rare instance of camradery, he also happened to be a constant adversary to the Hulk. He had to monitor his breatheing, and concentrate on Johnny Storm's warm farewell. The mere thought of the thing was enough set his blood to boiling.

Banner: " Thank you so much Johnny, I think it safer to land at this airstrip, as the thought of bumping into Ben , or being detained at La Guardia or JFK are both low on my To do list at this time. I appreciate the lift, and will do my best to return your kindness," and with that being said, Banner turned and walked towards the termnal of the air strip. He waived to Johnny, until the Fantasticar faded from site.

****************************************************************

Banner walked alongside the highway, one hand outstreched, his thumb raised, while his other hand crumpled the notes in his pocket. He was on the trail to find the one person who made him feel human. He knew that it could be a hoax, but that soon, he may be reunited with , his Betty.

These were some nice digs. Forget "nice," they're damn near luxurious. The closest I've ever been to one of these places was when I was hunting or when I was shortly in the Avengers. I had just gotten to one of the "guest" rooms in the X-Mansion. The whole time, this question has been ringing though my mind:

What the hell am I doing here?

It's not about the furneral--I know why I'm here. It's all of this, why the hell am I in the headquarters of the X-MEN, and why I'm thinking about staying on with these people--the superheroes. Why? I'm no superhero, I am a hunter. I kill the creatures of the night. If anything, I'm the supernatural Punisher. So, why am I here with the X-Men preparing for a furneral for one of them where the entire place will be filled with not just them, but close to the whole superhero community?

I was with the Avengers for a while. I didn't really want to, mostly for the same reasons as now. The whole time, I felt like I wasn't being true to myself. So why in the hell am I doing it again? Why?!

Even still, I can't find a reason. In fact, just now, a new question rang in:

Why not?

OOC: I know, this sucks. But, I haven't posted anything in a while and I didn't want y'all to forget me. ;)

OOC: That's not bad. You just summed up the same exact fillings I had stirring up in him when I was playing Blade. I guess I just..went with the flow, relunctantly at best. Keep it up, oh and how exactly did Jean die? (keep in mind I have'nt even been on this site for like a few good weeks) And also, can I start playing as Gambit now? All I need is a few pointers on where to start off really. I miss RPing, and I might even get back into the DC one, not that I ever did post there - during Season Dues, anyway. =P

OOC: Gamma' sig: " White people love Wayne Brady, because he makes Bryant Gumble look like Malcom X!"

"Break yo'self, fool!" *BLAP, BLAP*

"It was Mooney!"

OOC: Jean died being attacked by a Sentinal. It's up to batnkevlar if you can start posting as Gambit, but I don't see why not. I think Season I will be over in a couple of days.

OOC: Haha, I meant feelings.. He's not a double-layer cake after all. Or as sweet as one.
