The New Ghostbusters - Part 10

The title itself is sexist, as it contains the word "bust", the use of which objectifies women.

I didn't even notice the Rotten tomatoes thing. That is hilarious. I've never seen a rotten tomatoes rating on a Blu Ray/dvd cover before.

I've seen it before. On various titles...

Yeah, I thought it was becoming quite common.

That subtitle is sexist. Women don't need to be answering any calls. That is what a male secretary is for.
Pfft, they need an update.
Who doesn't carry a cellphone these days?

This is on no child's Christmas list.

Except for the girls who value representation over the nostalgia of 40 year old men.

But **** those ****s, am I right, fellas? :o

Is this movie good with representation?
It holds the reputation of "Not overly sexualized women like most movies tend to do, but majority of characters are idiots, with the Ghostbusters being mildly less idiotic than the rest"

Having the certified fresh tomato is a badge of honor for marketing movies now. I frequently get press releases now for smaller movies mentioning the tomato meter.

I hate to be the bad guy here, but how pathetic is it that the studio has to stick a tomato on the cover? Lawd, flop with diginity damn it!

That's all they really had besides trying to spin the box office numbers at the start of its run.

Yep, the copy of The Nice Guys I just bought today has one.

Yeah, it's a major selling point now for that type of movie for when it goes to VOD, Blu-ray, DVD what have you, especially if it didn't have a good run in theaters and is about to go on home video. Like exactly that with Nice Guys.

The tomato meter thing makes sense for movies that flew under the radar but did quite well critically, like Room, like Sicario, like The Nice Guys

this movie, however, was hardly under the radar and it's critical reception was basically "its ok"

I have X-Men First Class with the RT certified fresh on the cover.

So, no comments on the title/subtitle thing?

That subtitle is sexist. Women don't need to be answering any calls. That is what a male secretary is for.

If the male secretary is even smart enough to answer the phone, he's too busy cleaning his glasses with no lenses.

When did the title become "Ghostbusters: Answer the Call" instead of just "Ghostbusters"?

The Red Letter Media review for this movie is pretty vicious. Mike Stoklasa calls it "the worst piece of **** I've ever seen".

The irony is that all of those titles are above the certified fresh threshold of 75%. The only reason Ghostbusters has that certification is that its percentage was above 75% at the time it had enough reviews to qualify for the certification. And you don't lose the certification unless you go beneath 70%.

I've seen it mentioned in commercials for films as well.

Mike sounds a bit of a fool that needs to watch more movies. Sorry but that's the silly over the top nonsense that is turning me off fan culture.

Dude, as someone who's actually saw the movie and regrets it deeply, Mike's not a fool on this regard. It's as bad as everyone says it is.
