For those of you who were hoping for slimer to appear:

Yeah, I do want to see what ILM does with more recent ghosts if they're back on board with this.

I forgot all about this, then i check out latest 'news' about no slimer.

Let's hope it's a good film, regardless of content

Oh Goodness I almost happily forgot about this too..... Thanks for bringing up this up again. Think I will go vomit now..... :barf:

Why? The people making this have been doing some great comedies so far.

Its just not Ghostbusters to me, and NO its not because I'm sexist and its an all female cast, yes, I'll admit I would have preferred to at least see a mix of gender in the cast but hey whatever. I'm surprised the Original cast have agreed to cameo in it. Maybe there is some hope since they gave their blessings (or had buckets of money thrown at them to cameo) Not sure which.

Can you list some of the movies that you are talking about that they have come out with that are great? I'm curious to see if its anything I have liked or not.

The original cast didn't have any female on the field, and had they only cast males in here, those against the film wouldn't be playing the "more mix" card.

Bridesmaids, The Heat and Spy. Considering your comments, you probably didn't like them, but on the whole they've generaly been very well received.

Right? The people complaining about wanting more of a mix wouldn't be saying the same thing if they had cast four men, you can guarantee it.

You are right, I didn't like any of those movies, My wife enjoyed them though. Maybe she will enjoy the new Ghostbusters then. I'm sure I will watch it, but will not go to the theater to see it.

I guess that is directed towards me. Maybe you are correct, I don't know.

At the end of the day its obvious people I guess such as yourself and Lord will be able to enjoy the movie and that's great. I guess I'll have to see the trailers to give my final opinions and judgment on it. I'm just basing my opinions on what I've read, seen here, and elsewhere and again. IMO its just not the same and not what I personally wanted. Oh well. life goes on.

There's no winning phrase/argument online if your against the reboot. Your automatically a misogynist. It's okay though, when this turd roles out it will join the ranks of the Robocop and Poltergeist remakes at the $2 rental shelf in Family Video.

If they had an all male cast, people would have said - oh like the original, fair enough, but maybe a missed opportunity.

But to make an all female team, it is a missed opportunity as it feels forced. Almost in spite of itself.

Anyways, only one character truly appeals to me and thats McKinnon (sic) and her extreme ghostbusters look.

Yeah, I suppose you are right LOL
I did enjoy the Robocop Reboot though. Of course no where near as good and the original, but I was entertained.

Confirmed: Chris Hemsworth to be shirtless in the movie

"Director Paul Feig confirms that Hemsworth does show off his body in the movie. "You will be seeing some man flesh," he told me at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards." 11-17-2015 02:04 PM
Oh boy.... another turn off.... really starting to sound like Bridesmaids with Proton Packs....

I Really Really wanna support and get on board with this film. I love the original Ghostbuster films. But, I just cant yet, may not be able to get on board. Here to waiting on the trailer and hope to see something I like.

I really don't get the complaints about this. People try to explain themselves how it's not because of the all-female team, but they only just end up making it sound like it's exactly cause of the all-female team. I get that humor is subjective, but I thought Bridesmaids, The Heat and Spy were all hilarious films. Paul Feig's track record is good and the cast is awesome so let's just wait for the trailer at least.

Just not my type of comedy I guess. Like I said before, my wife enjoyed those Paul Feig movies and others similar. I did not however. Maybe its cause I cannot relate to some of the issues being made fun of because I am not a woman? I don't know. It is indeed very hard to explain without sounding sexist. I LOVE the Mad Max Fury Road and loved Furiosa just as much as I love Max. She was a strong character, a warrior and not a victim. Great Great character. Even Max respected her and treated her as an equal and not a damsel in distress which was great to see a leading female role like this.
But I cannot look at this film without thinking (based on what I've seen of Feig's work) that this is going to be a parody of itself with the type of jokes and comedy that is just not very funny to me.

I'm not trying to convince anyone here of my opinion. If its your cup of tea, great!!! enjoy it. I will make my final judgment when I see an actual trailer, and believe me I will be the first one to admit I'm wrong if I like what I see. But as of now, just personally not getting a good vibe from this.

Tom Rothman on the internet negativity to the female cast.

Everybody says we're making the female Ghostbusters, but I say, 'No, we're making the funny Ghostbusters.' Yes, it happens to be four women, It's original. You get pissing and moaning on the Internet — sexist comments – but, you know, f— 'em. Do it or die, because the audience is diverse. I got the old Jewish guys covered.
