Melissa McCarthy is fairly popular at the moment or at least her films are making paper. Personally I have never been sold on the idea of rebooting the franchise with new characters. I would have rather seen a take on the Extreme GB cartoon I remember. Keep it in continuity with the original.

I'm ready to love these girls, I just wish it wasn't a total reboot. A dead horse, I know; but Sony have needlessly alienated so many people with this change. I don't know what has dampened the hype more, the decision to reboot or the all-female cast.

I don't know if people here follow her on SNL but I can't stand Leslie Jones. Her entire comedy is based on how she is big and loud and yells about how she is big and loud.

I can barely stand the 5 minute segments she does on that show, I don't know how I'd stand her for a whole film?

I don't know if people here follow her on SNL but I can't stand Leslie Jones. Her entire comedy is based on how she is big and loud and yells about how she is big and loud.

Not SNL, but since I like to torture myself I've watched some standup crap on BBC sometimes, and I've noticed that a lot of female comedians do stuff like that. "I'm fat! My vagina/menstrual blood" etc. Even in tv shows from my own Country, female comedians does this.

Not a big fan of male comedians either, but in my opinion it's harder to find a funny female comedian. Maybe it's because I'm unable to relate to the "I'm bleeding out of my crotch"-stuff? It's easier to understand the fat jokes.

I do think that Kate Mckinnen is funny though, but that's just 1 out of 4 of that cast.
