They messed up.

They should have did a reimagining with the original characters. Jason Sudeikis should have been the new Peter Venkman. This movie looks dreadful. That picture does nothing for me. Its like they are standing in the Kingdom of Slimer. Is he the main villain or something?

I don't know if people here follow her on SNL but I can't stand Leslie Jones. Her entire comedy is based on how she is big and loud and yells about how she is big and loud.

I can barely stand the 5 minute segments she does on that show, I don't know how I'd stand her for a whole film?

Aidy Bryant is my least favorite SNL cast member. With every character she plays, she uses the same voice and demeanor. Even when she had a cameo in Broad City.

Nah, that's on the line of hyperbole as much as some of the reaction to having an all female cast has been.

Eventually that will happen. Characters are too popular and been part of marketing and merchandise for 30 years. They will not disappear indefinitely.

If someone like Hader, Prat, Forte or Mackie were replacing the names in a reboot it would be accepted fairly quick. Especially now that the well known names are completely non existent and more films are allegedly gonna show up. Add a Venkman or a Spangler and fans will already be beyond the fact the original cast won't be playing them and just be happy to have names they know back.

Well it's much better then the photos we've been getting.

Mckinnons character is gonna steal the show in promoting. She easily looks to be the standout.

New posters look terrible. In fact everything looks terrible.

"Who you gonna call" Just gonna go ahead and finish ripping off the rest, huh?

This isn't a sequel, or a continuation of the franchise, they claim they want to make it their own thing, but so far nothing has been original.

Everything has been terrible from the start, from the cast, to the Orange is the New Black jumsuits, to the lame attempt at publicity by having the cast visit the children's hospital to ripping off everything from the original.

Guess this means a trailer will be dropping soon.

My guess is it will start all dramatic and ominous, then there's a record scratch and we cut to McCarthy falling flat on her face trying to carry a proton pack, because fat people falling down is hilarious.

The picture looks like its in the spirit of the old cartoon. How would you like your ghosts: Extreme Ghostbusters where they were really bizarre, or more like in the Real Ghostbusters?

It's hard for a property to rip itself off.

No it's not.

There's no need to recast the characters considering the series can and has continued on without using them. I love the original 4 but their time has passed, and they could have used the actors in cameos or even supporting roles to new characters as one of the cartoons did, but with one of them passing and another being a cranky diva sort, the same kind of chemistry and whimsy wouldn't be there. And to try to recasts the roles that were heavily created and influenced by the original cast is totally bogus.
