The New Ghostbusters - Part 7

Better, but these gags are still just not working for me. Humor is being too forced and not played naturally. All of that concert scene stuff looks terrible.

Lot more fun in this trailer though. Hemsworth looks to steal the show, and they seriously should have had more McKinnon. Overall an improvement. Take out that concert scene and I'd be alot more confident.

The trailer is better than the first. I am really liking how the ghosts look.

The trailer looks decent to me, the FX's look polished. The humor is bad..but maybe within the context of the scene it might work better. I have a feeling this movie will do what BvS did; it will have a huge b.o but a lousey rotten tomatoes rating.

I think that's what it is. This one feels more like a straight up comedy whereas the original felt more real world-ish with comedic elements in it.

Now I admit i haven't seen the movie but in the original NYC also felt as much a character in the movie as the people. I don't get that vibe here yet.

Now that looks visually so cool!

The humor falls flat though but I'm not sure that will hurt in an action comedy like this.

The humor will connect with most people. Like I find the Patty character not really that funny but I can see how most people will like it.

Al Roker is in this. The first thing that made me think of is Sharknado.

At this point I just think that Paul Feig's style (despite loving Freaks & Geeks) just doesn't do it for me. Wasn't impressed with Spy (except for Jason Statham), and I'm not hyped for this Ghostbusters remake (because that's what it clearly is, with slight alterations).

This new trailer does portray more of a remake, than the supposed "reboot" we were told it was to be.

Yeah that was a better trailer for sure. It looks cool but not all of the jokes land.

What's the difference? Within this Universe the original movie's events never occurred.

They polished up that turd better this time
still a turd tho

This was a little better, but the humor still falls flat. I still don't get it. Is this a remake or is the marketing taking the callbacks to the original and cut it in such a way to make it appear to be a remake to appeal to the masses? I'm still confused. I'm thinking it could be more the latter to withhold backlash but at the same it just makes what could be the actual film not as good and a lack of confidence from the studio.

And is "Answer the Call" a subtitle now? Does anyone here have a clear definition of what this movie is supposed to really be? These trailer don't make me want to see this movie when I'm trying to root for it.

Yeah, the last scene with Patty reminds me of the classic humor.

Leslie Jones is a lot more funny when she's acting subtle than when they got her screaming her ass off.

Still looks bad. The jokes aren't funny at all.

Why did they show the outside of the firehouse? What people to think that's their HQ?

The Patty character gets more and more annoying with each scene.

Al Roker in this reminded me of Sharknado, which if you really think about it, this really should be aired after Sharknado 4 on Syfy.

I saw the video right when it went up (I subscribe to his channel). And while I fundamentally disagree with James' stance, he was perfectly reasonable, calm and brought up valid points, so much as to say he might be wrong. To those who want to get into a tizzy over one person's thoughtful opinion, grow up. Please.
All he said was that it was dumb to go see a movie knowing you are gonna hate it, 'cause you are supporting it anyway by giving it your money. Maybe all the fuzz is because supportes are afraid that more people realize this is the case and the movie won't even get the hate money.

I think had this been the first trailer, the reaction would have been alot better, though I agree , the trailer is not spectacular.

I think opinions , pro or con ,are pretty hardened among those who've followed the project , so I doubt the trailer will change any minds. We'll see if this gets the film any positive buzz by those who haven't been plugged into all the drama and controversy around the film.

I quite liked the new trailer. Didn't laugh at any of the jokes, but meh, I'll give it a chance.
