oh ps., that Iron Man vs. Thor fight was brilliant[/i. I read it in a shop last year in the British version of the Avengers comic... many more pages, so i'm guessing it collected the Thor/Iron Man/Avengers issues into one.

Could Spidey use his new 'waldoes' to fly, spinning them round really fast in a rotor-blade-like manner?
He could, but I'm afraid I'd have to lose all hope for Marvel if he did. :(

If Uncle Ben had never used the phrase 'With great power comes great responsibility', but still instilled all the same ideals into Peter Parker until his death, what would Peter's life motto be?

"Bend it like Ben"

Couldn't resist.

Is it just me or did the Scarlet Spider costume just look like a hobo immitating Spiderman?

Or a home made spidey halloween costume

I never liked the sweatshirt much.

I have a question. The Celestials came up in that Thor/Superman/Sentry thread, and I got to wondering. Has the origin of the Celestials ever been told? I don't think I've ever heard it, which seems somehow wrong to me given that they're involved in so many other races' creation.

Well some of their has been brought up right? Or no? Am I just crazy?

Thanks, DBM. I like the hyperspace theory, myself.

I do too, though the idea of a "Celestial Universe" is interesting as well. What's it like in a universe populated by nearly omnipotent beings? Reminds me a little of the Q from Star Trek.

Actually, the hyperspace thing reminded me of the Q's continuum. Hyperspace is supposed to be a higher plane than ours that can still interact with 3-dimensional space, right?

Sometimes. It really depends on how they are defining hyperspace. I've seen it described in several different ways depending on the "universe" it's set in.

Sometimes it's described in the same way you mention and other times it's describe as a "lower" plane that is "smaller" than ours thus allowing travel to take less time. Other times it's simply another dimension equivalent to ours but set up differently so that points in one dimension don't necessarily match up with points in another.

Who was the character that refused the Infinity Gauntlets because they wanted nothing less than omnipotence? Was it Doom or Thanatos? Did such a situation exist or am I just dreaming?

i can totally see Doom doing that.

Umm I don't remember anything like that.

See idiotic question LOL

Anyways, i was just reading some stuff in Wikipedia. Is it true Ultimate Scarlet Witch is having an incestuous relationship with her brother? And her kid (Wicca) is gay?

What the heck is wrong with Marvel??? First Gwen's a **** now we have the Marvel version of Angelina Jolie and um, Queer Eye

The only person I've seen refusing the Infinity Gauntlet was Darkseid in the Marvel/DC crossover. He turned the gauntlet down because it had no power in the DC universe.

Other than that, I can't think of anything...

The stuff with Ultimate Wanda has been speculated about, but no, nothing to really indicate it.

As for Wiccan being gay - yes, wiccan is gay, but his status as the Scarlet Witch's son is questionable since when he was a boy he was only a figment of her imagination.

With all this talk of Wanda and Strange lately, how does she stack up against the big cheese?

Wanda's probably as powerful as Strange at his height, but her powers aren't magic-based. Her mutation lets her alter reality; Strange's magic lets him break the rules of physics.

Oh, so then she isn't really a witch? Or magical I should say?

her inherent hex power is natural, but she most definitely DOES have magic abilities. Agatha Harkness was her mentor
